I believe you need to have been here for a couple months and posted x amount of times...then you U2U "john bull 1" and request your writer status

Not sure about the time, but you also have to have a certain amount of post to recieve writers status. There is a subforum in the Collabrative fiction forum that everyone can post in regardless of tiem spent on ATS or amount of post you have. Its open to all ATS members.
