Because at some point the commercialization will be outlived and the need to eliminate communication will become paramount.

why would the commercialization be outlived and the need to eliminate communication become paramount ?

I 'predict' your answer is gonna be good !!

I never suggested that the internet had anything to do with secret meetings........of course they have been doing this for centuries...but technology is going to be the downfall of our society as we know it...we have no way to function without it...and having the ability to communicate will become very difficult.

I'm trying to figure out if you even thought this little (as you make it seem) scenario through. If you think a pulled plug is going to bring you "simple days" you're delusional. It'll take you days to mentally play out all the different scenarios of the effect it would have on our currency alone. The day TPTB pull this "plug" kiss your planet goodbye because it'll throw every internet-dependent nation back into the stone age and we'd wipe ourselves out.

That part of my post was sarcastic...nothing will be easier when they decide to wipe out normal communication, but not only that the way we operate as a society is completely dependent on technology, wireless or otherwise, they will be able to communicate privately through their own channels, but publicly, the only people you will communicate with will be those you see and they will be trying to kill you for your food.

A source told me it is hysterical how nobody even bothered to actually pay attention to what I wrote...MY SOURCE told me to be prepared spiritually and emotionally for the coming events...they will enact a major change in how we function as humans....leading to a very perilous time for all souls that inhabit this earth.

I see too much interglobal commerse going on for what you suggest. The net is here to grow up and be come an AI,I think.

As an immigrant to this current technology and its communications, I could adjust back to the 1960's, 1970's without too much terror.

Those born into it, being natives, this is their bone marrow and DNA. They would be utterly destroyed, every one of them. I know, I teach them and watched the transition from the early 1980's to the present.

You are sadly delusional if you think they cannot shut it down...they can disrupt the electricity in every country with a number of methods. Its not a question of ownership, I promise you when they decide to do it there will not be a damn thing any of you can do....even if they don't there are a number of natural cataclysms that can disrupt any country at any time....are you prepared spiritually and emotionally to deal with it?

To bad. Won't matter if all the cities have wireless communication and lose the ability to answer.

Because the monetary system as we know it will not matter, they will want to keep public communication from existing for obvious reasons.

With the US Post Office currently running at an annual $20-30 deficit, if they do shut-down the internet, we'll probably get to keep our email. And for all your pervs, you can probably trade your porn via email! hahaha!

You quote your SOURCE as proof. Name your source. Provide the universal PROOF that it is going to happen.
If you believe it, prove it. Otherwise, we will continue laughing.

So...show us you are ready spiritually. You sound deceitful and sarcastic to me...not really very spiritual at all. Nor your "source".

The "THEY-TPYB" is not any one thing. Neither is the internet. They both are many things. Not just a single group as you believe with their finger on one switch to turn off the net.

Hackers wouldn't even need to step in.. the government simply can't shut the internet down.. the "internet backbone" consists of six tier one providers that make up the core infrastructure of the internet, they are corporate entities that provide internet connections to smaller tier companies .. there are three tiers, tier 2 and tier 3 have far more companies in them.

Those tier 1 companies are:

Level 3 Communications
CenturyLink
Cable & Wireless Worldwide
UUNet
Sprint and AT&T Corporation
Genuity.

To really kill the internet you have to take out those six companies that have data centers all over the world.. every internet connection that is made, every request to a website.. goes through one or more of those networks.

The only thing the government "controls" are the internet root zones and even then, it doesn't actually operate those servers.. it just approves, rejects or requests the removal of domain names from the databases.. which would also not kill the internet.

The notion that TPTB have some kind of on off switch for the internet is absurd if you really know how it all works.. You have the six tier one providers that then provide connections to tier two companies, and tier two provides to tier three .. then you get the spidering out of internet connections to companies and homes all over the world, like one giant spiderweb,

It's impossible to take out the internet.. you can only disrupt it in pieces.. the only thing that would really kill the net would be a massive EMP pulse that took out power grids all over the world
... pandora's box has been opened, there's no way of putting the internet back inside.

Anyone who thinks the internet will "POOF" and disappear just doesn't understand how it works.. it was conceived to be resilient with redundancy, and evolved specifically to have no "central command" .. no single point of failure

I've read a number of your replies and observations on this and similar threads. I believe you bring credible contributions about how ISP's and how the Internet works. However, I would not totally rule out the possibility that there is some way to interrupt or even prevent transmission or reception of communication via the internet.

What intrigues me is the idea and some evidence that there is an alternate, or in other words, a second World Wide Web (WWW) that is super secret, controlled by the government and is used for secret encrypted messages that none of us see or can use only TPTB. For unknown reasons, should the internet as we know it should fail and/or collapse, I believe our government and certain allies have access to this secret, second internet that only they no about, and no one else. Something to think about?

Sure, but do you still have a computer with a RJ-45 connection/modem that can connect?

If so, do you know what/who to dial to connect?

An internet without the current backbones would be foreign world to most users.

Our government currently uses the internet to "tunnel" certain information on the common users backbone of the internet. the most common device used is the KG-175 (TACLANE), I worked with these for many years during my service in the USN. If the internet goes down though all the branches will switch to the EHF backup satellites, which are always available. The SAT connections are slower but very reliable for tactical communications.

Shut down the internet and lose touch with us all? How crazy do you think they are, the PTB, that they would destroy all their hard work, for what? If we are all left to run amok who will feed them? Who will produce all the luxuries they take for granted? Etc, etc.
Shutting down the internet would be the same as the PTB saying they don't want to play the game anymore, that they are sick of living the way they do, that they don't want to plot and scheme and manipulate anymore.

POOF.

Not "PROOF".

Nice try, but I can read.

On topic:

Isn't it strange that most of the replies speak of the internet in a negative tone, yet seem to support it's existence all in the same post?

I find that to be quite disturbing.

pulling the plug would cause chaos. even without considering what was already said about them using the internet to spy on people, it seems that you have no idea how much humanity relies on the internet today.

it's not only about communications, cell phones, hospitals and their databases, it's about the control of electricity grid, water, supplies, everything. society wouldn't be moved back 100 or 200 years, nor even 500 years, we would be right back in the stone age.

look around you. look at the average mindset of the average person around the world. facebook, twitter, youtube, smartphone, news, celebrities, BS, yada yada. people are so damn stupid that pulling the plug would cause all the sheeple to panic, because they wouldn't be able to handle their lives, they wouldn't survive. of course, most of the humanity at this planet lives in poverty and all those farmers in poor/developing countries would do just fine, if not being overrun for food by nearby city citizens. but other than that, meh.

do you really think TPTB would want that? they want control, and even when they'll decide it is time to reduce the population, they'll do it in as controlled manner as possible.
