Yeah it really was a disappointment. I wanted to focus on the philosophy that Americans lose sight of that is very much their heritage. Instead jerks have to make their presence known.

Blah blah...."I hate the United states and would love to destroy her".....imperialism blah.....

In the end it is their loss. Vile people cant even stand themselves....

It is not yet over though. I am still willing to discuss the American ethos and its highest ideal.

You are nothing more than a Rush Limbaugh wannabe, even using his terms, he probably has them trademarked.

and your an ass. Please learn to read. Obviously certain words trigger your well programmed mind to shut down. You just did.

"American exceptionalism" is a very well known and used terminology. It is used in either a good or bad light when speaking about the US. SO the fact that you are ignorant enough to assume that it somehow is a conservative buzz word shows just how under informed you are.

You are on the internet so I assume you know that it is capable of more then porn and trolling. Like the totality of human knowledge......

Look it up sparky.

I agree with almost everything you said there if not all in my own way.

It is my belief that irony sometimes shows the hand that is working behind you. The "Nazi youth" reference which certain people have callously thrown around even in this thread when speaking about their fellow citizens is striking.

We have seen an "out with the old and in with the new" mindset in our radical youth today. They like their German counterparts many years ago were programed to respond bitterly to the advocation of traditional values and all that was the German peoples idiosyncrasy up to that point in favor of a "New way". Many of the Nazi youth were pitted against their elders and made to make vows and take oaths of service to their new ideals over even their parents wishes.

A new youth that you build up to feel special and "in the loop" is malleable to the point of total obedience to the "new" mentality.

The fact is that if nothing changed in American ideology over the last 50 years then nothing would be different for the average Americans experience. It has changed because our ethos has been fundamentally altered.

I am not advocating a static and un-evolving mindset for our people. I am simply pointing out who we were ideologically under one of our most prosperous times and who we are now /where, after experimenting with what people say is altruistic ideals when in reality it is yet another cog in the very machine they say they stand against.

Hitler and the Nazi regime were naturalists, eccentric and brutal but still....and you can look into this if you feel....but they were extremist progressives.

Ask a historian. Better yet read it your self. Hitler used a progressive platform on hate-roids to stir the passion of the youth of germany to his ends. It wasnt hard. Adolescents are retarded. Sorry. Simple life fact.

He didnt outright say "lets be evil pricks and conquer the world". NO. He said "lets save the world from itself." Similar to the "save the planet" mantra that produces a knee-jerk reaction to ask for a pen to sign a petition or a ballot box to check.

EDIT TO ADD:
Captain planet for example was nothing more than UN brainwashing to a different tune. Like Al Gore and David Rothschild telling us only we can make a difference as little eco-warriors....ect.

I had a customer today become aggressive and vile because I responded to her comments about the weather being a product of global warming in a way that showed my general distrust of the "science" behind it....because the programming is there....She could have simply disagreed,(and if she was gracious enough to explain why then cool) but she turned in on herself and got upset as though I just raped her and killed a puppy.

The "aware" crowd is the biggest heard of them all....

get out of the public school approved text books!

other than USA, have you ever LIVED (not visited for less than 6 mos), but actually LIVED outside CONUS?

please learn to carry an adult conversation.

I understand that the economics of our country have been usurped long ago...did you just learn that or something and that is why you cant get over it?

I am speaking of our ethos. I sir am a traditional American. I know many. It is dead when we are, and my grave isnt even dug yet so chill the F out or just go make a thread about how hopeless it all is and how one of the worlds super powers should go quietly into the night....or not.

either way that defeatist crap isnt my brand.

No I am 29....I hate formal academia and am pretty much self taught in all that I know. I was a terrible student because I had nothing but contempt for everything I was told (ex: I´m an amateur historian and history class was always colorful for me). And I was an outcast for much of my child hood for not following the status quo. I do not respond well to the heard or mob mentality.

Thing is people, I grew up in a predominantly female house of womens lib, left centered political ideologies and was for a long time a die hard liberal...in my youth.

That said....I can not deny all that I have learned along the way and seen with my own eyes, lived in my own skin. I have seen some isht. I know it to be true because I experienced it all, distrusted everything anyone offered up to me, and learned the hard way what life is really about for the real average American.

I am culturally hispanic, am married to a minority, have worked and lived in VERY low income neighborhoods of NYC all my life and am culturally aware as well as being well traveled.

Shocked? Why would you be unless you tried to peg me to a "type" that someone told you people like me are. The type of person that you "know" must think this way.

I dont get a kick out of bringing discord. In fact I am VERY reserved when it comes to even talking about my ideals and beliefs. I am happy to let people do and think what ever the hell they want.

Here and now though, I am willing to defend /explain what I am in my core because the field is level and open.

If you have a grievance with the AMERICAN ETHOS I will try to hear you out and talk about it. If not I will respond in the same spirit to talking points being spewed at me while looking for a response from me that can be picked up on and used in an effort to make a straw man argument of this....or not.

...oh and I just moved back from living in Europe for 6 years after traveling there all my life. I owned a small business there that I MADE possible with nothing but my hard work. I am very much a multicultural person though I dont use that word. THAT is a buzz word. I prefer saying that I am a citizen of the world, and as such am no less a citizen of the US because of it.

that is good to hear, traveled.

I am more confused than ever about the rosy cartoon video, do you actually think that's how it worked then or now?

wow.

from tammany hall to now.

the only small triumph America ever had was the unions and those were pushing a hidden agenda also, just took 30 yrs for that to come to light.

point is, over the last 100 years, the elites have consolidated power and forces, largely working together against the people instead of fighting each other. this is actually far worse because there are no "spoils" for anyone other then them.

when you learn about how awesome America was from the 1880's until the death blow in 1929, then compare to later, it is ALL SICKENING.. how can you even compare the 2?

The utter greed and brainwashing is historic in every aspect, that stupid cartoon just confirms it. The only other place in the modern world more CAPONIZED by the elites is Britain.. lol

greed, that is what is rewarded.. predatory greed. at every level, from the chase ceo oll the way down the corner hotdog vendor.

but for as low as sell for the most.. always exploiting every angle to exploit others.. heck you are exploited, why not?

here is my final statement a telling quote, I know you wont gloss it over, just let it sink in.

Men had better be without education than be educated by their rulers; for their education is but the mere breaking in of the steer to the yoke; the mere discipline of the hunting dog, which, by dint of severity, is made to forego the strongest impulse of his nature, and instead of devouring his prey, to hasten with it to the feet of his master.

Why is it such a foreign concept, American exceptionalism. At one point in our history - Americans were LOVED and envied worldwide. We were admired because we claimed our freedom and built a system of government to be admired.

Certainly, our system of government has (d)evolved into something much less admirable than what was originally envisioned - but for that brief period in time, we were exceptional - as a society/nation.

Then things started to change.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to have lived 200 years ago - when my ethics and morals might have been considered sub-par. To have lived in a time when immoral/unethical behavior wasn't admired would be truly refreshing.

I wish the capitalists that gave money to that joe to make his cars didn't ask for more and more profits every year til the point that they are shaking down the work force and the customer.

also it would be nice that simply because joe has the ability to expand it does not mean that he monopolizes the whole market and gets into many other markets making it pretty much a one man show that snuffs out competition.

Also as a country we had/have more resources and have greater wages since we pretty much exploit every other country on the planet.

I have no problem with that, all super powers do that.. but it isn't all sunshines and rainbows.

Everything goes in cycles.

everything that usa started with is great till it gets to a certain point then it deteriorates because people abuse it and take it for granted.. then a new system comes in that while force people to change and value the things they gave up.

it is just a cycle and people today are not ready for that yet. we all have to die out and those born into a crappy system will be hungry for what this country use to have ... and they will fight for what was once had in the USA.. and unlike us they will deserve it.

till then enjoy the ride.

I don't see what that has to do with anything.

I speak of ethos, not our coin or productivity ..........

I am saying, in light of your video, that americans were admonished not to take up with the "isms" and then they reward the largest communist nation on earth with our industrial base.

We do not know who you are? If we knew, we would accept you.

Western society has a lot of socialism and communism ideas in it.

A pure capitalistic society would not have Government employing 40%+ of working population.

There is one society built on capitalistic ideas - that society is a Vedic society.

Vedic society has minimal role of king, and size of government is fairly small. There is no poor in a Vedic society as the King does not take away people's fruit of labor by taxing them to death.

No my friend. People have to stand up and take action.

Pessimism is not the answer.

The solution will be found be those who are willing to sacrifice their life and their money for the cause.
