I totally agree, they were teaching the Westboro people how rude it was to go to their burial sites and disrespect their dead. And doing rituals isn't an uncommon thing to do for the dead. In the Mormon religion they "baptize" the dead into their religion to help guide them to one of the levels of Mormon heaven.

the space of a week, and he was still never satisfied.
my advice is to get out of there as fast as you can, before it gets it's claws into
you and eats you right up.
take plenty of cold showers, and if you don't have a shower unit, then dip it
in the dunny. after a few days of that, bob's your uncle.

Thank you for finally providing clarity as to what this story was all about. How absurd to bring protest signs about homosexuality TO SOMEONE'S FUNERAL, while performing the funerary ritual. Next, funeral services will have anti-abortion signs everywhere.. A little tasteless and uncouth about the pastor and his services if you ask me;

I thought funerals were normally meant to be formal, eloquent events for mourning, contemplation and meditation. Makes you wonder if the pastor even wears a tie to the event? Good grief.

The ignorance is mindboggling.

I am 100% for gay rights, but two wrongs does not make a right. We need to rise above what the WBC and the Phelps family does. I don't want anyone of any religion or belief to go to my families graves and perform phoney ceremonies to turn someone into something they are not, or baptize them as Christian or what have you. Like I said, we need to rise above this. What the WBC does is evil to me, and sick, but we cannot sink to their level. I'm not behind these pink masses. It needs to stop.

Have you ever read about Fred Phelps and his "church"? It would drive him into fits. Normally I don't go for this sort of thing, but Phelps deserves a special kind of hell.

No, it doesn't "need to stop", they can do whatever they want as long a they aren't hurting anyone. A cemetery is a PUBLIC PLACE. You don't need permission to go in to see a dead friend or relative for example.

Who are you to say "it needs to stop"? It's because of people like you that more and more freedom (of expression) is going away.

Mississippi cops want to arrest the Satanists that came down from NYC and trespassed in a cemetery to hold the "Pink Mass". I don't think the problem is with places like Mississippi, LOL...sounds like the problem started in places like New York (with the Satanists) and Florida (with Westboro Baptist Church)...and even California (home state of the Church of Satan).

If the self proclaimed Satanists didn't actually do any physical damage to the grave area, then other than being some extremely whacky antics, no less whacky or controversial than Westboro attendents, one would think no real harm is done.

Certainly there's bigger problems in the world to solve with our taxes.
