Do you believe that technology has the characteristic of polypotency? How can this be if it is and how can't it be if not? Is it an important aspect when it comes to human relationship with objects (artifacts) and technologies. It is very interesting to me that people rely on technologies and I think I'd be a cautious technophile, use technology for the betterment of society but not so much that we lose our identity as a society.

Societal identity is an ego driven construct.

I would say that the better approach is to utilize that which enriches you, and discard that which doesn't.

Of course technology is polypotent. The limits are purely hypothetical, as we have consistently exceeded all prior limits set.

I guess it all depends which generation you represent
The latest generation assumes and takes each and every single gadget and gizmo for granted and rely heavily upon it. I work with technology but not really a savvy user.
