Wicked bad!

Someone just attempted to set-up Stewart Rhodes (founder of Oath Keepers) & Dan Johnson (founder of People Against the N.D.A.A) by sending child porn to Dan Johnson's email from a tormail.org anonymous email account, pretending to be Stewart.

Oathkeepers has been working with PANDA to nullify the N.D.A.A.

Fortunately, Johnson was savvy enough to not open the files.

BREAKING: Attempted Set-Up of Stewart Rhodes & Dan Johnson

It maybe be government or private sector enemies (e.g. Mother Jones). Either way, we need to stay vigilant. Any and all activists should watch this to the end to reinforce what they should do to protect themselves.

I wonder what media exposure this story will get and I believe any investigation of the crime will be a joke.

It's far too easy to set somebody up for Child Porn and far too difficult to know who was set up and who is a sick bastard.

Something has to be done to ensure that innocent people stop falling victim to this little government scheme because when it happens, usually the person who is framed is demonized and declared guilty long before any trial.

Wait, let me get this straight.

Some guy receives some spam mail and automatically it's a conspiracy by his competitors and enemies to 'set him up'?

Sounds paranoid and a little attention starved driven doesn't it?

More than likely they just got spam, which could contain anything. I wonder how they knew it was child pornography without viewing the contents?

In any case, I doubt anything will happen, the cops won't investigate spam, they'll investigate the kiddie stuff, but they probably won't get anywhere with it.

The anonymous passing of the files precludes any proof so far as to whether it was an intentional set up or a horrible troll.

I will say that I find the child porn angle for discrediting individuals to be the more modern day assassination technique. There's no defense in the public eye against such a heinous crime, and even if you survived as innocent it would still haunt you forever. This precludes the questions arisen when someone might disappear, and also destroys any possibility of martyrdom.

10th, it was not spam mail. If you watched the video you would know how they knew it was child pornography and how information about Oathkeepers was also in the download.

Yeah, good point. How did they know what was in the files? Either they looked, or they sent them to themselves in the first place.

I don't have video capabilities right now.

Please enlighten me on how they 'know' it was enemies trying to set them up.

Reads more like attention whoring to me.

No offense but why try to discredit an organization that has no credit? If anything it might give them some credit.

I just watched the video so I'll reply because she seems offline. The recipient saw it was sent from a 'torrent?' address which was not used by his friend so he sent the file to his IT security guy who took it apart and found the porn embedded.

I'm not too savvy on this stuff but that is what I took away.

Dan Johnson, founder of PANDA, consulted his security expert who looked at the file and was told it contained child porn and also had the Oathkeepers founder name and information regarding Oathkeepers in file.

It is an interesting video. Watch it when you can or not.

I receive thousands of emails from torrent services wanting me to download any manner of things that are illegal and otherwise distasteful.

It's also VERY common to hack legitimate email accounts to send these sorts of things from as well, so that you think it's from a friend.

Oathkeepers founder name and information regarding Oathkeepers in file.

All the emails I receive for spam sent from torrent services and servers have had one or more pieces of information about me, mostly garnered from my account details cause email providers have crap security.

Considering all of these people's information is available online, as they are public figures, I don't see that as proof of anything.

Let's be clear on some things...

I can send you an email attachment and you could choose not to look at it. But if you did there is a record of it and a date stamp of when that file was created, modified, etc.

NOW...

It is harder to forge that date stamp, and if I confiscated your computer and found illicit images prior to date of the alleged email what then is your alibi?

Just because someone gets SPAM does not mean they are set up. It could also be a ruse to get you to believe how good they are (above looking at any sort of illicit material) in order to garner support, but then that is just how I think...

Here is a link to a video about the attempted set-up of Luke Rudknowski of WeAreChange.org. Posted on youtube July 7, 2013. I will just leave the link so the video impaired can read his story, which was also mentioned in the opening post video.

This is the description on Youtube.

A few hours before making this video, Luke Rudkowski of WeAreChange.org received an email from an anonymous sender claiming to be a Bilderberg whistleblower with attached photos from inside the 2013 Bilderberg meeting at the Grove Hotel in Watford, England. The email was sent to his personal email address that he has had since high school, not one of his work or WeAreChange email addresses. Luke opened the email from another computer and it stated that the person wanted Luke to break the story so he was sending him these photos exclusively and specifically stated that Luke needed to download the photos. Fortunately before downloading, Yahoo gives a preview of the photos and the photos were actually graphic child pornography

I found his personal email in 2 minutes by searching google. It's not difficult. Nor is it any indication that somebody was trying to set him up. It just means some kids on 4Chan or whatever else have been trolling him, or there is a cleverly scripted bot program sending these out.

The IT guy explains about half way through the vid when you get a chance to watch. He also mentions the use of many 'key' words in the text. I'll be willing to listen to what you say when you have evaluated the IT report. Also OathKeepers just placed some signs pro Snowden signs in DC.

This has nothing to do with torrents. You're showing a bit of ignorance here. You also seem to be exaggerating.

Tormail is anonymous email. It can't be traced. That's a big red flag for anyone who knows what tormail is. It has nothing to do with spam.

Mother Jones has been quite vocally against the NDAA so I kinda doubt it was them. Amazing though that you cry foul though while elbowing someone else in the face. For the record I don't think this is right at all and hopefully whoever did it is caught.

I'm not actually.

Tor Mail is a Tor hidden service that allows to send and receive email anonymously, to addresses inside and outside Tor.

Tor Mail provides web mail access with two webmail applications to choose from, one fully functional ajax based, and one simple client which requires no _javascript or cookies, the user can also use access his mail via SMTP, POP3 or IMAP with email client. The user can only sign up and access Tor Mail via the Tor hidden service and need to have Tor software installed on his computer to access Tor hidden services.

As TOR is based on P2P networking for the most part, my mention of torrent services was in regards to that.

ETA: Tormail is far from the only email service that has this kind of anonymity.

You also seem to be exaggerating.

What would give you that idea? I'll be watching the video a bit later, but again, I see nothing so far but an attempt at sending spam or trolling some guy for no other reason than the lulz.

These two gentlemen are working together for the nullification of the N.D.A.A. For this reason I do believe there is reason to suspect this is more than a couple kids out for grins.

Downloading child porn on your computer is a felony

It looks like enemies laying snares. .Discredit the organizations by criminalizing its founders.
