I saw this sighting of Mammatus clouds today online and immediately thought of this forum. It struck me that is is the kind of sighting that hoax pushers, as opposed to genuine believers, might well seize upon in order to push their agenda further.

These are indeed very unusual clouds that look very different from the norm, but thry are still natural. To be fair, when confronted with something like this it's no wonder some people will wonder what the hell is going on, but while this is not common, it is not unique or unprecedented so if it appears on a Chemtrail trail site just be sure to read their claims carefully.

It makes me wonder how those believers who claim to be able to recognise a Chemtrail by sight alone can justify those claims, given that their chemtrails just happen to look exactly like contrail cirrus (and there IS a reason for that) whole these clouds are genuinely strange looking.

I saw a nice layer of mammatus last week here in Pennsylvania.

It would be nice if people looked up more often, they miss a lot that is going on up there. There are a lot of clouds that are initiated by contrails. I have yet to see any real evidence that they are any 'chemtrails'.

This is something that really bugs me about the believers, they'll tell you that you mustn't look up much. That's all I bloody do! I'm a menace to other road users!

I didn't realize that HAARP was the only one of its kind in the world.

That is a relief and glad to be educated and I thank you.

Well now you do know - there is only 1 High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) in the world - glad to have cleared that up for you.

and never will, it's congenitally impossible

funny how they're called mammatus

means boobies

makes you wonder if they're trolling you

interesting wiki page en.wikipedia.org...

they don't really know what causes them
FFS, they're even throwing out gravity waves!

yet OP demonstrates who the mammatus here is by preemptively, presumptuously, peremptorily, and preposterously declaring the subject closed to any further speculation...

Unless you can show me another HAARP in the world then yes, but remember there are other facilities similar they are not HAARP.

Except I never did, did I.

However, how many consecutive posts is it now where you comment on the poster without addressing the topic? Are you going for a record? Even your one concession to the topic where you commented on the name Mammatus managed to miss the obvious point by a mile. You are one gifted individual (sarcasm intended)

Whom am I addressing here?, the chicken or you?
This needs clarification in my opinion......
Somebody running multiple user names can get confusing.

I cannot very well participate in a discussion if I have no idea whom I am replying to.
Is it the chicken now or
tsurfer2000h?

Legit question and comments like this below don't do you any favours.

Iwinder, I find it helps to hold conversations with different members simultaneously by highlighting the point that is being replied to with the quote button. Or, as in this case, including the postees name with the reply to button. Regards

You could try discussing the issue itself - that way it doesn't actually matter who posts what - it only matters what is posted.

but then you would have to address issues......

Clouds, and the number of them that are claimed to be "chemtrails", "chemclouds", "fake clouds", unnatural and anything else but just "clouds" are what got me started debunking. It's sad people say " just look up!" and don't know what the clouds above them are called, how they are shaped, and what they mean about the weather.

Clouds are why I carry a camera at all times. I saw a Helmholtz-Kelvin form, change from a wave into a twisted cord (like a phone cord), and then then get blown apart. It was so cool....and no camera. Haven't seen one since. Here's an example of the cloud I'm talking about. But the one I saw was even more distinct and regular. Hopefully it's not a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing.

And who is doing that?

Does it matter who answered your question, because it was answered?

I suggest using the Alert button if you suspect this. It's against the T&C.
