Is the POTUS bragging about it or rubbing it in?

He is warning you that in less than 1000 days we will have to suffer through another year long multi-billion dollar election campaign from both parties. All of which will be specifically designed to convince you that the person you are about to elect really will do things differently then the last president(s) you voted for. Of course with the partisanship and gridlock in the Congress/House nothing will really change and the rich will continue to profit the most.

LOL Reagan. Again.
I really, REALLY, doubt that a Reagan-esque president would make it that far in this America.
How bout that pint now?

I don't think people are against liberty and much less government overreach into their day to day lives. I don't know why you're laughing, the fact of the matter is him and his platform carried 49 states.

That was 30 years ago.

With July 4th approaching, more than 60 percent of Americans say the nation is more divided as a country now than it was 10 years ago, with even higher percentages saying America is at least as fragmented now as it was during the Great Depression, Vietnam, and Watergate. And perhaps most strikingly, one in five Americans doubts that America will remain united as one country. These are some of the findings of the 2013 The Atlantic/Aspen Institute American Values Survey, conducted by research firm Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) in partnership with global public relations and strategic communications firm Burson-Marsteller.

Sorry, I really don't see people being in favor of tyranny and choking government intervention instead of liberty. I think that concept is as attractive today as it was in 1776. People have had a taste of Progressivism from figures in the GOP and DNC for 24 years now and the nation is mess and teetering on collapse. The big, centralized government Leviathan needs it's head cut off.

Ok.
So who, in your opinion, is this magical man/woman who shall unite us all?

I would vote for a Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Mike Lee, Rand Paul. My preference is Ted Cruz. If Progressive Republicans and Democrats hate his guts, then all the more attractive his ideas are to me. Statism must be stopped.

Sorry dude, but Ted Cruz is not gonna happen.
Dig it.

Brody File Video Exclusive: Ted Cruz Warns that Charging Pastors with Hate Speech Is Next Step

Sen. Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that America is going down a dangerous road regarding what is considered “hate speech,” saying the next step could very well be charging pastors with a crime for speaking in support of traditional marriage from the pulpit.

Ted Cruz and the dark future of gay marriage.
Really?
Pastor Ake Green of Sweden and his views on homosexuality
Ake Green Case
Houston Chronicle Article on Cruz
Homosexuality a deep cancer

Ake Green was convicted of hate crimes in June 2004 and given a 30-day suspended prison sentence.

But then an appeals court in February threw out the case, saying it was not illegal to offer an interpretation of the Bible and urge others to follow it.

“Everywhere I go people are afraid for the future of our country; I think we’re at the edge of a precipice. If we keep going down this path, we’re risking losing our nation; we’re risking losing the incredible oasis of liberty,” said Cruz.

So do you think that a Pastor who refuses to perform a gay marriage is guilty of committing a hate crime?
Is that possible?
Or would you call that some of the worst kind of pandering and fear mongering to seed among a Christian base of voters?

Nope. That's a freedom of religion issue the judicial branch can tackle.

But then in 1200 days another leech will take over to continue with the same agenda and your life will be no better off.

The right person to run a country will never run a country

A good tyrant would just send in his army to kill you and take your guns without all this debate and media fervor. If he was a real tyrant, we would all be dead, this site would be gone, and we would be living in a third world nation. Now, since you can still go out and buy an Iphone and a new car before heading over to Mcdonalds for a Big Mac i think America will be fine.

and what happens to those tyrants? they get ousted or killed.

they are not the "good tyrants". they are idiots. The real tyrants are the ones doing everything behind your backs. Secret laws, plans for war, spying, monitoring, arresting, killing...and getting away with it all...these are the tyrants.

My suggestion? Find a third party and get behind him/her But if that happend i wouldnt be suprised if they meet with a accident or random gunman before they go to the election...

It doesn't matter, Americans are so brainwashed they only see in RED and BLUE. Independents dont even get to be in the debates or anything. Only the republican and democrat get attention, it's designed that way to keep the tyrants in power.

Even if one got elected from a miracle...he would be assassinated so they could replace them with a tyrant.

It's easy to tear down the president from a forum on the internet, not to so easy to become one.

Definition of socialism - A socialist economic system consists of a system of production and distribution organised to directly satisfy economic demands and human needs, so that goods and services are produced directly for use instead of for private profit driven by the accumulation of capital.

Does that sound like anything that would happen in this country to you?

All good until you add the human factor....then it fails miserably.

That's because we're animals. We ruin everything.
