Wow great video of humpback whales almost eating a diver

I saw this video on raw story and it reminded of that scene in finding Nemo where dotti says "don't worry whales only eat krill , oh look krill"

just an awesome video of 2 humpback whales almost eating a diver as he floated on his stomach

They are not killer whales, they look like humpbacks, but they are not Killer Whales tha'ts for sure.

Great video, its cool that as humans we can have a laugh about almost every situation

He did seem to be a little too close to the lunch. Don't these humpback guys hurd 'lunch' and then simply fly by with their mouths open. He's braver than I am.

I love that that guy on the right of the shot on the boat was just laughing like they had just been slapped by a jellyfish.

What an experience though!

I'm sure the whales know what they eat on a daily basis. The guys know it very well as the humpback whales just like the dolphins are intelligent mammals using bubbles of air to create a trap and then scoop up the small fishes in bulk. Nothing to fear IMO and thus the guys are calm and taking it with a light humor.

The divers probably knew the whales were eating and wanted to see them up close. It's lucky the whales were looking where they were going. I'd never intentionally get in the water in that situation Oh well, world population control has many disguises.

I suppose the people in the boat would blame the whales if a diver got accidentally eaten. I'm sure the whale would spit out the suit.

We went on a while watch boat trip out of New Hampshire 13 years ago. We saw whales doing this ... bobbing straight up from the bottom to get all the fish in their mouths. They were HUGE whales and I don't know how the whales ... with their eyes kind of on the sides of their head .... could possibly see if a diver was mixed in with the dinner he was trying to catch.

No divers were in the water when we went on the whale watch.
NO WAY would I want to be in the water when those critters are eating!

Why were they hanging around a school of fish with feeding humpbacks in the area? I wonder how funny they would have found it if one of them had been crushed to death and spat out like a bloody ragdoll, assholes...

They eat plankton and other smaller sea creatures. Not humans. They're gentle giants.

His mate nearly gets eaten and that bloke on the boat cant stop laughing.

You have to admit that would of been some kind of a rush

This is why I seriously hate whales.
