I posted the other month, in a thread about coincidences, that I'd not thought about this guy for decades.. and out of the blue I thought of him and the next day, his partner in comedy was on the tv. In a show about boats. Completely random and it punched my lights out...

Now not only have I got that to send me loony, but the guy I wondered about, has died.



I'm not thinking any more. My thoughts are dangerous to things...

RIP Mr Smith. Another great old comedian exits the world, leaving us with memories of a different era.

That is odd last week he popped into my head for no reason at all.

Bit of a shocker, that one (just found out today).

Just recently been enjoying Colin's Sandwich on Dailymotion.com.

Apart from being a great comedian/comedy actor, he seemed like a really lovely bloke - as far as it's possible to discern that about someone you've never even met.

God speed, my friend.

Funnily enough the grave sketch was the first one to pop into my head after all these years when I first heard this news and still makes me laugh like a fool.At that time this was one of the very few weekly shows I'd never miss.

RIP a comedy legend and genius.
