Ya know what I hate? I hate how some people actually get energized by the sun and the heat. They sit out in it, work in it, play in it, while I feel like a limp noodle hiding in the shade. Heat numbs my body and my mind. I would say it makes me into a zombie, but zombies like to walk all day long while I prefer to hug my air conditioner and sleep.

I live in one of the hottest regions in the USA for summertime. I use the time-honored strategy of applying a wet washcloth to certain cooling areas of the body such as the forehead and neck. The armpits and groin area are some other key points for the body to cool itself.

What I hate most is that it doesn't cool down at night here sometimes.

It is so hot in New England right now that if a naked supermodel offered to do anything for me, I would weep tears of joy and say, "Would you mind getting dressed and buying me an ice cream?"

Try this :

A/C on the cheap

Works great with low humidity... but still works if it is humid, just not as well...

Best of luck

Ice-cold, refreshing beverages; my favorite is sun-brewed peppermint tea with ice. Very cooling. Also popsicles: at least a freezer full of the things! Sounds like a kiddy answer, but there are some things in life children have figured out..beating the heat is one of them.

OH my god, it is SO nice to talk to someone who is like me. I massively dislike hot weather, i just dont understand how people get off on it, Its uncomfortable, it drains you and as for laying on a beach sunbathing, arrgh its so boring.
I must be one of the few british people who actually like rain. I would give my left boob now to go to bed and listen to the rain outside, i love that, it makes me go to sleep.

Oh and lastly, it ruins you makeup.

I think all of us nancy boy brits are having the same dilemma at the moment. I say, open window, get fly spray and man up. Its too hot to be having windows closed.

I'm not British...

I live in one of the hottest and humid places in the united states and have no A.C...

With that said....

The way you deal with the heat is by wearing next to nothing, drinking lots of water...eating light foods and also eating watermelon if you can.

Wear white (but not after Labor Day and before Memorial Day........even if you are in Europe it's a major Faux Pas) loose fitting and sheer clothing. No undergarments allowed, so you don't want the clothes to be TOO sheer (Unless you're into that sort of thing). Loos fitting is the key here.

Go out early in the morning to acclimate your system to the change in temperature. When it's 68 in your house and 105 outside and you go straight from one to the other, it's like stepping into an oven. You don't want to do that (Unless you're into that sort of thing)

When you start sweating, start drinking water. Not too cold or you might get "brain freeze, and the old wives tail of how cold water cools your body temperature just isn't true. Cool water.......good. Cold water........bad

I feel like I'm drowning in my own sweat,(what a sight eh?).

You say that like it's a bad thing.
When you're out in hot temps and you have a lot of sweat on your body, keep moving. Remember that advice about sheer (Yet fashionable, Dahling) clothing? Do you know what an evap cooler is? Google it.

One last thing DR's wife...............outdoor sex during the hottest part of the day. After that, the heat won't get to you so much because you're then associating it with a good feeling. (Would I lie to you?
)

Any more advice you'll have to pay for. Sorry.
