There is. I posted it on the first page. Read my last post. Most of us agree it's a balloon. Let it go.

Let it go? Jeez, this is ATS, not Scientific American. If you want people to conform to your world view that UFO's don't exist, chemtrails don't exist, aliens don't exist; I think you're on the wrong website. Do you have a problem with people discussing this, especially when an alternative theory, that of a balloon has only been presented as being POSSIBLE and hasn't been proven?

If it bothers you people are still discussing this maybe you should exercise you right to leave the thread and stop haranguing them.

There is an incredible amount of phenomenon out there that hasn't been explained, and almost all of it is discussed on here.

And we know there are agencies and groups that would like us to be kept in the dark about all of it:

And, 4 hours and no one scrambled the jets to investigate? What were the police choppers there doing for 4 hours? WTF?

Is it a known feature of parachutes to just sail about in the air, forget 4 hours, for 8 minutes? If it were floating about in the air, wouldn't it distort in some way? We've all played the "parachute" game as kids (where you run through the parachute) and sometimes they blow away, but they don't just stay in a perfect circle, they ruffle and distort.

When someone is under a parachute, presumably they get lower? Who goes parachuting just to stay in one spot for so many minutes, and not make any turns, or descend or ascend at all? Is that some kind of parachute technique similar to "treading water" when you swim?

I'm still undecided. But those questions above are the ones keeping me from going with the "parachute" theory. But I guess the balloon theory still holds some weight. It could get up high and just linger, I suppose. And it does look like a typical UFO shaped balloon which aren't hard to find. But still, quite why that would linger and not turn or just tilt/tip in the winds, again makes me remain undecided.

Remember this? "Kid in balloon" but turns out to actually be hiding in the attic? Haha. Maybe they were going for a second scam

Is that so? Many people in this thread have accepted that it's either a parachute or balloon, and most lean towards balloon. Has it been proven not to be a balloon by anyone in this thread? No it has not. But several of us have shown it can be a parachute or balloon.

Therefore, nothing is in "tatters" here. You have to show evidence that something is in "tatters" before claiming as much.

Everything seen in the sky is of terrestrial origin until proven otherwise. And 99% of UFO's thus far have been proven to be terrestrial objects.

I keep forgetting how many armchair "researchers" do things backwards and think that every "UFO" is of alien origin until proven to be terrestrial. What a sad way to go through life, and "deny ignorance".

I've been researching UFO's for most of my life, ever since I was in middle school. Most of these "UFO's" are very easy to identify.

P.S. I love all the childish, kiddie attacks on other members instead of discussing the evidence, or lack thereof. Way to "deny ignorance".

Yes, but he's going to claim "chemtrails" and that that image is proof.
Most people know "chemtrails" are a hoax and a myth.

I saw this thing. I live in Fresno, and my brother and i saw this. Sorry my broke ass does not have a high def camera, or any camera at all for that matter, to get you the pictures you desire.

To OP--- good find. Myself, i am thinking it is a test projection for project blue beam.

Cool.

About what time was this viewed? afternoon, evening?

Roughly what direction in the sky, towards the west?

Was it stationary for that long or was it moving slowly across the sky as some have pointed out?

If it fits where Venus should be, Why cant this be Venus?

It sure looks like it through a cheap telescope or extremely high zoom on a camera.

Oh boy.. here we go... Now, it was nothing more than the planet Venus.
Yes, thats the ticket. It was a freakin planet. But some how, Venus now has a square hole in it and a crust that resembles a scallop shell
Nothing to see here folks, move a long.

Is that so?

Yes that is so, your theory is in tatters.

Many people in this thread have accepted that it's either a parachute or balloon, and most lean towards balloon.

Negative, you just WANT to believe the majority of the people on this thread lean towards that, Ummm NO.

Has it been proven not to be a balloon by anyone in this thread? No it has not.

Has it been proven to be a balloon by anyone in this thread? No it has not.

But several of us have shown it can be a parachute or balloon

Shown. It. Far from solid evidence, these are assumptions and honest opinions of what it MAY be.

Therefore, nothing is in "tatters" here.

Your theory is because, its "Shown" what it may be, but due to the nature of time and variable wind speeds your theory still holds no water, hench, tatters.

You have to show evidence that something is in "tatters" before claiming as much.

Interesting, YOU DO HAVE TO SHOW EVIDENCE, what you present is NOT evidence of what it is, just theories.

Everything seen in the sky is of terrestrial origin until proven otherwise. And 99% of UFO's thus far have been proven to be terrestrial objects.

WHOA!! what kind of person has that kind of power to make such a bold statement? do you control the skies? are you Lord of the world? Leader of nations? yeah I didn't think so. Innocent till proven guilty huh? everything in the sky is terrestrial until proven otherwise, LMFAO you give me a great laugh.

I keep forgetting how many armchair "researchers" do things backwards and think that every "UFO" is of alien origin until proven to be terrestrial. What a sad way to go through life, and "deny ignorance".

You are an armchair researcher as much as anyone else here, so I'm guessing your living up to the sad life here.

I've been researching UFO's for most of my life, ever since I was in middle school. Most of these "UFO's" are very easy to identify.

Armchair researcher? since middle school? sad sad life.....

P.S. I love all the childish, kiddie attacks on other members instead of discussing the evidence, or lack thereof. Way to "deny ignorance".

No you don't, you hate the kiddie attacks, it infuriates you to no point, we have discussed what it MAY BE, but evidence has not but shown, you lack any solid evidence of what it may be...SOLID EVIDENCE of what it may be. Yes, Deny Ignorance.

Did you forget how easy it is to go back through the thread and see how many people think it's a balloon?

Out of those who responded on what they think it looks like or what they think it is:

  • 19 people said balloon.
  • 6 people said parachute.
  • 5 people claimed other (living entities or alien spacecraft).

You should go count for yourself before blindly attacking others.

Actually, it has. Several of us have shown images of balloons similar to what was in the air. If it looks like a balloon and flies slowly through the air like a large balloon, then it's a balloon, no matter how much you want to believe aliens.

It has nothing to do with power. It has to do with facts. 99% of all UFO's have been identified as having terrestrial explanations. Furthermore, since I've been on ATS, 99.9999% of all UFO's posted here have been explainable as terrestrial or hoaxes.

That's not the way real and professional UFO researchers conduct themselves.

No, actually real researcher. At one point I was a field investigator in training for MUFON, but college took up too much of my time to pursue. Now that I'm out of college, I'm going to pursue it again.

lol, nobody is attacking anyone here, I'm just here to prove you wrong that's all by showing your short comings.
And your numbers are way off.
8 AGREED it was a ballon
2 AGREED it was a parachute
4 Think its neither balloon or parachute, but terrestrial in origin
19 Have zero idea what it may be and they exclude the parachute and balloon theory with possible UFO or Non UFO
    8 AGREE its a UFO
    3 AGREE its Organic
1 Thinks its a giant Coffee Filter
    1 Thinks Hoax
    1 thinks Project Blue Beam.
Get your numbers straight before you decide to respond with a hasty and ill conceived response.

"Actually, it has"??? Shown images of similar balloons in the air, your analogy doesn't work here, just because it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck doesn't always mean its a DUCK.

That is still not evidence, again, SHOWN. your way of think can get people killed in court....or at least put away for the rest of their lives.

I doubt that, explained away? more like open threads on the subject that's still open for discussion. YOU think its explained away and done with it, but you have already demonstrated your mental aspect of it.

Who said anything about alien??? the term UFO is coined for a very good reason, we have a UFO here on this thread. BTW, where do I get a degree in "Professional UFO research"? that's what I thought.

A real research? A field investigator? While I won't discount your personal life since I don't know you but what you have already demonstrated on the mental level, I would say Re-up on the ED.

Apologies for some of the rude comments made by others. When you get comments like this:

... it's sometimes difficult to stay focused on the topic when rude members make such ridiculous comments about peoples' mental state and education level instead of the evidence (which is against the T&C's, btw). Or deliberately skew the numbers to suit their agenda. It is sad there are people like this in the world.

This thread really shouldn't have made it this far as it's a duplicate anyway. The other one ended at Google internet balloon. That's where this one should've ended, or been closed due to being a duplicate.
