Obamanimosity (opinions)

I realize some people might still like Obama, although I can't imagine why. I'm starting this thread to see what people's opinion of Obama might be. Personally I think of Obama as a soulless conman, but I did vote for him, once. The rage I feel every time I see his name began a few months after he was elected and steadily increased since then. I have to vent this rage, often, and by now people around me have probably heard enough of it, so I'll shut up to to listen to what other people have to say. (vent any positive or negative opinion about Obama)

I actually don't feel any worse then I did after the BUSHZASTER... and his Haliburton, Oil lovin cronies, last few presidents have all been conmen you ask me...

But I do blame and despise Congress if it is any help to you? What do you want to do about it?


2 Parties 1 Agenda!

Democrat, Republicans. Two sides of the same coin. Look beyond the puppet, who is pulling the strings? No president in recent history has had any sort of sway. Look at what JFK was saying, and look at what happened to him. Obama is just a cog in the machine, a machine called control. With its ever watchful eye preying on the publics insecurities.

Think of it as a guy who will say anything to get in a girls pants, only to never call again.

I think Obama said it best when he called Bush a traitor for adding 4 trillion to the debt in 8 years.
I think he was dead right about that.
Then Obama added 6 trillion in four years.

His words. His actions.

The silver tongue devil, take his teleprompter away he babbles worst than Bush did, Its all about him, I believe someone like Rabbit said it best, I am tired of hearing that man saying "We Americans" we, we we, sorry to say this but I am not part of that We, don't put me in the path of the freight train, leave us alone. Take a hint we all don't agree with you. He does not speak for all Americans so he should drop the We, how about the 57% that don't approve of you.

He always seems like he is in campaign mode and never feels like a true leader when he speaks.

And he says whatever he needs to to try and get people to like him. How's that 17 trillion in debt going prez!

As hard as this is to believe, my opinion of our President hasn't quite solidified. Oh, I know he's bad for the country, it's very difficult to listen to anyone who claims otherwise, but I've got a few unanswered questions.

At the start, everyone was talking about his massive intellect. Is he really that bright? What is his view of how the country should be? Some possible answers include:

He's bright, but he surrounded himself with fools.
He's a fool and this is all we can expect.
He's an outsider, so the only talent he had to draw from was his really liberal friends.
He only wanted the office and doesn't know what to do with it, so underlings are running around without guidance.
He wants a country that is part of the world community. Nothing special. No powerful military or economy, he just wants to be "one of the boys" and accepted. Being top dog requires taking responsibility
He wants to make America suffer for it's imperialistic, slave-owning past.
He's great, but the Republicans have stopped him from accomplishing anything.
Since he grew up in Chicago, the only style he knows is, pay your friends and destroy your enemies.
He's frustrated by having to wait for laws and Congress. He doesn't handle frustration well, so .....

See, I'm still trying to figure him out.

Obama is the 11th president in my lifetime although I cannot speak to Eisenhower since I was a child. But I remember the last ten, starting with JFK (I wore a Nixon pin in 1960 for reasons I no longer remember).

The one consistency that I have seen with all of them is that each are vehemently hated by certain individuals for various reasons, some sound, others weak. Regardless, no matter who is in that position, "haters gonna hate."

Comparatively speaking, Obama is not as bad as he has been painted by his enemies. And I remember how each were vilified:

JFK: Too young, spoiled, wealthy northeastern elitist controlled by the Catholic church.

LBJ: Lame Brain Johnson, sneaky, manipulative and nasty Texas politician, hated so much, he did not even run for reelection to a second term.

Nixon: Vicious, power hungry madman and crook that ran from prosecution.

Ford: Appointed by and then pardoned Nixon, dumb, clumsy with no personality. Lost his only election for president to Carter.

Carter: Weak indecisive extreme leftist bullied by everyone. Lost second term to Reagan.

Reagan: Knew how to act like a president because he was an actor. Most corrupt administration in the 20th century, disinterested, forgetful and manipulated by others.

GHW Bush: CIA operative, manipulative, out of touch elitist and liar.

Clinton: Slimy, sleazy womanizer crook. Gun grabbing socialist, manipulative liar.

GW Bush: Dumber than a stump, controlled "shadow" president, stubborn in his ignorance, warmongering coward.

Obama: Socialist Muslim Kenyan that hates America, liar, manipulative gun grabbing leftist.

I guess we all have our favorites but for the most part, everyone of them were disappointments to many people for reasons great and small while they were in office. Obama is not the worst on that list and ultimately history may judge him as one of the best of that weak group. And this too shall pass.

I think he will be around for a long time and his presidency was just the beginning.

On Obamination

I voted for him twice even though I thought he was a lying conman and an enabler/coddler of corporate, environmental and war criminals after his first four year. Romney's flip-flopping-flipping-again and various statements on his would-be policies made it clear that he likely would have been even worse. No doubt there will be some who will take issue with the claim, that Romney would be worse, but that's not my delusional problem.

Obama has turned out to be an execrable president. He has lied over and over to the American people, he squander his political capital in the first two years of his first term, and he has shown himself to be the hardest working Republican in Washington D.C. He and his minions have protect the Wall Street crooks, the BP crooks, the Bush II regime war criminals, and Obama has continued many of the unconstitutional, illegal and war criminal activities of the Bush crime family.

The Democratic leadership in the House and Senate has been no better. I'd like a human centipede to be made out of Obama, Reid and Pelosi, and add on Boehner and O'Connell at the front end just to make it worse for these sell-out DINOs.

I good on on for several pages in an in-depth, item by item criticism of Obama, but what's the point. I will say is my problem with Obama is not an irrational fear that he is trying to take away people's guns or that he was behind the Benghazi debacle and possibly intended it to happen, or that he is having the IRS targeting conservative political groups (news flash: the IRS was targeting liberal progressive groups too, and the actual tax law calls for any and all political groups to be non-exempt).

There are a lot bigger and worse things that he has done or good things he could have done, but didn't. I'll just leave you with my thoughts on his intuition towards policy: a few months before the Fukushima nuclear disaster, he said that we should look to Japan as a shining example of how the US should pursue fission power again; and a month or two before the BP Gulf disaster he caved to rightwing cries to open up offshore drilling by allowing for more such O-S drilling leases to be done. Basically do the opposite of whatever he says is a good idea.

His biggest political mistake was pushing Obama Care when he should have been working on fixing the economy -- in large part via pushing clean energy (no, not clean coal) and other newer technologies. His stimulus package for shovel-ready highway projects was a joke: all I saw were roads being repaved, which didn't really need it, when we have bridges collapsing in this country,

The guy is an atrocious president, nearly as bad as Bush II -- and that's saying something. I think Obama will go down in history as one of the top four worst presidents, along with Bush II, Warren G. Harding and James Buchanan.

Democrats who still give this guy excuses for his polices and ineffective leadership are just political tools.

Obama is spineless.

I don't know what else to say about the man. Since day one of his first term, he has been run over by the GOP and his detractors. They have stymied this presidency, blamed him for absolutely everything wrong in this country including TARP which his predecessor actually signed for.

Every single lie against him has been met without skepticism, fact checking or even intelligent debate. He is ridiculed not only by the party opposing him at every turn, but even heckled by those same people.

And he just takes it all.

He would have a much better public opinion of him if he stood up to the hard line right and put them in their place from the jump instead of just bending over for them to kick his posterior at every turn. By the same people who still believe that he was born in Kenya and somehow is both a socialist,and a fascist at the same time.

So, to reiterate, spineless.

George W. Bush on steroids; that is my opinion of Husein Obama.

Obama taught me quite a bit, so in that sense he's served a purpose in my life.

My primary opinion is that Obama represents a change in the game. Once upon a time the recipe seemed to be to find a strong politician and then teach them, as best as possible, to be an actor ( for public consumption ). It is my earnest opinion now that Obama was the exact opposite... He was, essentially, more like an actor who was taught to play a politician. Instead of being a politically strong individual having to learn social skills... Obama was a social master who had to pretend to understand politics.

I think that he was hand-picked for the role and marketed to people just like me... People who have lived their life mostly under Republican Presidencies ( In my case roughly 28 years Republican and 15 years Democrat at the time of Obamas election. ) and who were very disillusioned with the entire system. The same people who walked out of the door with Nixon walked right back into it with Reagan and have been in power ever since.

That is not at all how it is supposed to work. We all know it. We all understand it. That much of a consolidation of power utterly undermines the adversarial, two party system.

THAT is why people flocked to Obama. He came along, seemingly an outsider, and stated that he was going to upset the imbalance of power and undo the nepotistic damages caused to our economy by the small group of very, very wealthy people who have benefited from nearly 30 years of control.

Many of us bought it hook, line and sinker. Even as he gained office and clearly showed who he was beholden to - many of us voted for him again, desperately hoping in a second term, as a lame duck - he'd buck his puppet masters and do some real good for the people.

So far that has not happened. I am not at all optimistic that it ever will.

As others above me have mentioned... the biggest mystery to me currently is why so many Republicans hate Obama with the pure dedication that they do. He is, after all, a Republican at heart and has kept all of the programs of the Reagan, Clinton, and both Bush Presidencies going.

The thought of him in the White House, eating Kobe beef and jetting around the world on extravagant family vacations on Air Force One that we taxpayers pay for makes me sick.

ETA .. and don't anyone dare play the 'racism' card because I said he's lazy. The fact is .. he IS lazy. He can find the time to fill out his basketball brackets but he can't find the time to go to his security briefings.

I don't disagree with all his policies and appointments however, the ones I do disagree with happen to be pretty huge. Without getting into too much detail I'll say this:

I hate him because he's not anywhere close to being a socialist. I hate him because he turned out to be a Right Wing, Corporatist, Republican who is hell bent on pushing the pedal to the floor as we careen further into Fascism.

I have to hear the opinions of Obama from ATS members because I'm just not keeping track of him, and I think this is why:

I used to LOVE watching boxing with Ali, Foreman, Bowe, Holyfield... When it came to fighting, Tyson was THE MAN! And then, he bit Holyfield. This totally ruined boxing for me and I haven't watch it since.

I think it's the same with politics. I felt that Georgie Junior was such a dumb, fumbling, moron that I just can't watch anymore.

Obama is no leader, he's a divider. That was the entire puppet master controlled fake two party agenda the entire time. Romney losing was the plan from the very beginning. The next puppet will either be Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush with Rubio as his VP in order to land the Hispanic vote. You heard it here first, Another Bush or another Clinton. ~$heopleNation
