Hi everyone, I have long had an interest in the paranormal, and earlier while watching an episode of the haunted, it showed video footage of one of the investigators getting possessed, and I haven't been able to stop thinking, what happens when someone gets possessed, I mean, like on a non physical level, what is going on ? Is an entity attacking the persons energy field/aura? And what we see in the physical is the result of that ? Does anyone here know exactly what is taking place ? And what makes it possible for some people to resist these attacks and exercise such entities ? I'm a very visual person and I guess I keep trying to imagine what such an event would look like or be like on a non physical level.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

Steve.

Their heads spin and they throw up pea soup.

I think.

If you ever see anyone sorta, hovering and doing ungodly things with crucifixes, speaking in tongues, loss of bodily function...
you know... referring to themselves in the plural... telling you things about yourself only you know..

If they speak like a dead family member or acquaintance, just run like hell.

No seriously, I'm sorry I don't know. Noone replied so I thought you might get a laugh out of it at least.

That's closer to the truth than you can possibly imagine ...
ahem ..

That aside ,ummm, their thoughts are not their own .
If they have a poor sense of self ,they can be easily controlled.
They may be in there, thinking ,but its like two people arguing inside their head, and the stronger one wins ,and the body follows .
Murder, drug addiction ,evil deeds, are done when someone is possessed ,much more frequently ,than the general public knows.

Mental illness ,is a fine line. Spirit disturbance can be seen in the eyes.
I habe long suspected ,many people deemed to have psych issues, are possessed.
It's that chicken and the egg thing . Which one really came first .

Thing is ,a person with a psych issue ,is not always aware of other personalities ,whereas a possessed person ,when in control ,is quite aware of the other personality ,and knows it is not intrinsic to themselves .

Just my thoughts on it.

Heavy duty possession ,with manifestation of paranormal activity ,is a bit more rare .
Stuff like the exoricst ,is about as common and people being struck by lightening.

Slowly they become more violent in their silent ways of self protest. Eventually to be a symbol archetype of human nimble playing on regret.

Hi Steve, from what I understand, possession involves the systematic break down of an individual's will power through demonic influence. Eventually the person is no longer in possession of himself/herself and the ultimate goal of the possessor is death and destruction. People resist these attacks in many different ways. I personally invoke name of Jesus and claim protection by the holy spirit. It works.

I'm concerned about what happens when they get repossessed.

I mean, does a repo man come and take them away for sale at auction?

Can someone redeem themselves by paying back all creditors and the costs of repossession?

I mean, where does the law stand on this?

Back in the day when people didn't even know about mental health they thought anyone who was mentally ill was possessed, this has unfortunately carried over in folk law.
I have seen mentally ill people act like they are possessed (scary stuff worse than any film) and it isn't because they are possessed by demons etc it is because they are poorly.
If anyone can show me of a possession and an exorcist with video of what happened to the person after the exorcism please do.
The problem is in some parts of the world people who need treatment for being mentally ill get treated like they are possessed by demons this only makes the person more mentally ill and that is wrong and archaic.

Yes it's much more scientific today, where we can lobotomize and leuctomize or drug away any behaviors that we deem not normal.

Look I have worked in a mental home and we didn't just pump them with drugs, we used modern techniques to help the patient understand what was happening to them and helping them with therapy.
Drugs were used but when you have a guy who hears voices from his dead father telling him he is worthless (his dad abused him as a child) a couple of pills to help the voices go away is a life saver for him.
One in three of us will suffer from being mentally unwell in our lifes...If you want to blame it on Demons etc you will only get worse and suffer more.
The stigma against mental health damages the work people put in and the treatment of people who are just poorly.

Granted, but the drugs are just so damn effective. Problem is that no-one has yet described, in a consistent manner, exactly how they work, or explained the few cases where they don't.

I was being sarcastic and I am aware of the the many treatments that are effective. It just pays to NOT be too cocky with what we think we know (when we really know we don't actually know).

I've been very sensitive to people's energies my whole life. Just in the past year it has become even stronger after a near death experience I had.

The things I know about possession are:

- demons can possess other people that are weak in spirit and not protected by a "good force" (aka the Holy Spirit)
- they possess people through eye contact; a quick glance and a demon will "latch" itself onto a person (aka evil eye; envy)
- intoxication through alcohol or mind-altering drugs ('___', shrooms, ecstacy) lowers your protective shield, and allows for easier access
- demons can travel through any type of electricity; over the phone, through the internet. It's all about energy. The fact that you're seeing this post here is connecting you to me by the electricity of our computers
- demons are "printed" into many of today's mainstream songs. After artists are finished recording a track, the final "mix" is basically cursed by high-powered witches and sorcerers. When these songs are played in a club where everybody lets their guard down through alcohol, drugs, and promiscuity, it allows easy access to anyone who isn't vigilant. It's a cycle that leads to one live a life without morals.

For instance, last time I went to the club, I was watching Ke$ha's Die Young video on the huge screens all around the interior. I knew she was a member of the occult, but I didn't wanna be a party pooper, so I let my guard down and started absorbing the song while dancing. Suddenly I felt something on the back of my neck, like a very strong force pushing up against my head. The nerves in the back of my neck sent me a "fight or flight" response. I turned around quickly and saw a man by himself, sitting at the table adjacent parallel to me. No one else was in sight at that area. He was staring directly at me with a very strong glare. Really creepy.

If you ever go to a club, be more vigilant to the "old weird creepos" who stand against the wall amongst a relatively youthful crowd. You'll notice something amongst them that will change your perspective on people's agendas.

A lot of it is trial and error, what will work for one person will do the opposite for another. It is a new field of medicine but like I said drugs are only a small part of the solution, therapy can help, self reflection can also help.
One of my doctors I worked with said If we can get a patient experience a moment of clarity, a moment where they know what is real and what is not..we are doing the right thing.
But the last thing people need is others saying they are possessed because they will play on it and start to believe it.
I have seen people who have been told they are possessed and they instead of looking into the real reason for their illness they can blame it on a demon. Not good for them and will hinder their recovery.

They run for political office...

That has to be the best and most accurate response anyone could give.
The 'possession test' .... ask the person if they want to run for office.
The higher level they want to run for .. the stronger the demon.
If they say yes to running for office then that's a sure sign something is wrong.

Even the catholic church, before they do their whole exorcist routine, verifies that this is a actual case of possession and not just some mental ill individual. Supposedly, there are specific signs of demonic possession. One of them I believe is that the demonic entity itself, can read minds.

Awhile back ago, A poster mention that demonic haunting/posessions, usually attack not just the physical but mental aspect of whoever they trying to posses.

Howard Pittman died during surgery and had a NDE.

One of the things he was shown was how a demon possession happens.

My escort informed me that he wanted me to see a demon in the process of actually possessing a human being. At this point in the trip, I was escorted back through the dimension wall separating the Second Heaven from the physical world. When we came back into this world, we were in the same hospital with my body but in a different room. The room appeared to be an employee’s lounge. I saw tables, chairs, dishes with food, and in the room were a young man and a young lady facing each other while laughing and talking.

It was obvious that they could not see the angels, yet I was so close to them I could almost reach out and touch them. I could hear and understand every word they said. They thought they were alone and as they laughed and talked, they were unaware of the horrible creature standing between them. This demon was so horrible in the appearance of his shape and form that I recognized him immediately to be from the lower group, the perverted group. The angels, the demons, and I were in the spirit in that room and were aware of everything that was happening. Those in the flesh were only aware of themselves for they could not see or hear us even though we were back in this physical world. Since we were in the spirit, we still communicated with our minds.

I was not really paying close attention to the words the two were speaking. My entire attention was focused upon the demon. He was a most horrible looking thing, reminding me of an over–grown, stuffed, slimy, green frog all out of shape and proportion. He moved slowly up into the face of the man then, suddenly, like a puff of smoke, he seemed to disappear into the face, just as if he went through the pores of his skin. When the demon had entered the man, the angels said, “Now it’s done.” The angel then proceeded to tell me how it was that this man was possessed. He stated, “The demon made himself desirable and attractive to the human.”
