I don't spend as much time as I used to on this site.

Threads were interesting several years ago - its become too political lately.

Yes I am addicted, what's your point?? I am here everyday unless I am ill or traveling. I post sometimes to excess, the seduction of thinking my opinion matters hard to resist. I also edit myself and post not much. Depends. I almost always have a giggle. I love this place, I love the people.

During your time here how often do you reply to a thread? (Percentage).

I spend at least an hour or two a day on ATS if I am not really busy. I go through periods where I disappear for a little while though depending on what is going on in my life. I've always loved this site. I am not afraid to admit it, although I wouldn't call it an addiction as much as a hobby.

If it is a thread I created, I try to respond to everyone and spend quite a bit of time on it.
I'm sure I have sunk many hours into my coffee thread in the mornings and sometimes evenings.
It is a fun thread, so I enjoy the company there.
I have another thread that is a life long story/experience that I started in 2004, and still add to sometimes, although I put it on hold until such a time as I can add without worrying about upsetting people I know in my real life.

There are other threads I also spend a lot of time reading and responding to if I have something to contribute to it, mostly paranormal topics although I have opinions on lots of things and will share those a lot.

I reply to about 25% of the threads I read, and others I just star and flag if I enjoy them without adding content.

If I was to link to a specific user's profile, such as Cody's for example, I'd use a url which looks like this with his username in it:

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/mem/cody599

Here it is as an activated link: www.abovetopsecret.com...

But, If I wanted everyone who clicked the link to go to their own profiles by default, thus being able to set up a prank such as the one I did in this thread for everyone who was to click on it, I'd simply take out the username and instead just post this url with no usernames:

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/mem/

Notice how you go to your own profile by default now when clicking the link, which looks like this when activated: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Posting the link without a username in it brings everyone to their own profiles by default. Now.. I guess it's everyone's next task is to work out how on earth I was able to post perfectly acceptable url's without them showing up as links.
