Suffocating deep by an anchor at sea

Dragging rusted chains of memory

Uncertainty lingers - going madly insane

Pins and needles prick with pain

Ocean crashes of tar black waves

A true happiness is what she craves

Dark grey shadows quickly fill the mind

Fake a smile then pretend to be kind

Stuck here for now in a type of purgatory

Wish to feel more beauty, truth, and glory

Struggling inside the very heart of me

Pinned back down by that anchor at sea

peace and love

Beautiful expression of your soul, little natalia!

Fear not young nat, for one day sooner than you know the winds will arise once again and the "Great Captain" will shout "Anchors Aweigh". On that day you will be lifted, and a new journey will begin- one with you at the ship's wheel with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face!

Thanks

I sure would like to be the captain of my own ship and in complete control. I love when the sun warms my face and the wind flows through my hair. Thanks for your encouraging words. They mean a lot right now.

Nothing lasts for ever Natalia. Not even the pain. Thats a truly beautiful poem. One day those rusty old chains will be smashed forever

That was a very nice poem! It reminds me of a dream I had about the sea and black water tossing me ashore.
I liked it a lot.

Nat I am so glad you chose to post! Your sharing continues to keep us all connected. There must be a writer's channel a number of us are on. I just completed a poem called Hope is a Heavy Life jacket. I will post it after I finish here. Thanks again. Peace and hugs.
