There was on thread claiming this was a jack-a-lope. My take on it, as I stated on the previous thread was fungal growths. But yeah Just put it out of it's misery, poor thing.

Nah...someone must've brought back a wolpertinger. I hear they're very common in Germany:

Wolpertinger

Just let the little bugger live on being a demonic hell-hare.

World's Most Insensitive Human

Are you suggesting he hurt the rabbits feelings?

It's a wild rabbit, it doesn't matter if it dies or not, it's a pest here in some parts, all part of nature. I wouldn't have taken it to the vet either, I would have let nature take it's course.

Wild rabbit that happens to have a disease that will kill it. That is nature in its purest form. It is no ones responsibility to call a vet.

Also, stop humanizing animals. Its not fair to them, to you or any of us.

That's easier said than done you can catch the critter. This one looks like it can still see and hear. We were once out on a family trip along a country road when we came across a rabbit with myxomitosis sitting right in the middle of the road. Poor thing could run, hop and eat but couldn't see or hear. The only thing we could do was use a cloth bag to catch it and drop it off somewhere in the middle of a meadow

Frankenstein was the name of the protagonist, Victor Frankenstein. The monster never had a name; referred to as daemon, the monster, and even Adam at one point. It is unfortunate though for the rabbit to have such things on it. I hope the transition isn't painful for it.
