Obama: Gun Control for Travyon

I might be late to this party but ....

President Barack Obama issued a long-awaited response Sunday afternoon to the acquittal of George Zimmerman Saturday evening, reminding Americans to temper "passions," and that "we are a nation of laws and the jury has spoken." He added that Americans should "honor" the life of Trayvon Martin by committing to "stem the tide of gun violence," and "ask ourselves if we are doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion in our communities."

I think it was completely wrong for the POTUS and Holder to get involved in this case....period. Do they get involved in every shooting? Nope...so why this one? (That's a rhetorical question, I think we all know why)

The liberal media is still spouting off about white on black crime today....shame Zimmerman wasn't white. I am betting this guy is thinking "How ironic is this shiz?" He prob had to deal with certain prejudice and such his whole life being a Hispanic/Latino...now suddenly...he's white.

The prez will do anything and everything to keep the gun grab alive.

In my opinion...if he's so concerned about racial crime...why not go back to Chicago and do something about the gangs there...

Not really sure why you would be speechless over a statement like this? They will use anything they can as a tool to push their anti gun agenda. I knew it wouldn't be long before they tried to use something else to fuel the rage for gun control after the Sandy Hook emotions cooled down and they lost support for it.

This is the MO of this administration, and the ex chief of staff said it plain as day in the beginning, but many failed to understand when Rham Emanuel said "let no crisis go to waste" exactly the scope that he meant it. They will use anything as a tool to further their agenda.

Not intended to be a thread to stir up the gun issue, simply a thread about ...hmm...what's that old saying... Never let a serious crisis go to waste? Let's go conspiracy with this guys, not gun control. I feel like I'm living in a script already written. Someone's nose is in the wrong place.

Maybe, but this is a case where Zimmerman may have been killed had he not used a gun. This is a case where the gun was used correctly, how about we find one where it wasn't to support gun control.

So by gun violence is he talking about Zimmerman defending himself, or is he talking about the illegal gun trade that Trayvon was involved in?

I agree that America needs to curb gun violence..... and rape, armed robbery, theft, knife murders, drunk driving, drug use, child abuse and every other crime that hurts people.

People need to have more common sense, compassion and personal responsibility for their actions and quit blaming circumstances, their upbringing, their financial status, other people and other races.

We have a people problem in America (and the rest of the world) that needs to change.

I refuse to blame guns, knives & cars for crime. It's not the matches fault when an arsonist strikes.
The pressure cooker didn't kill those people in Boston.....people did.

People have no morals or personal responsibility anymore. period!

Argue all you want, but those are the facts.

Had Zimmermann stayed in his vehicle no one would have been killed. I'd like to think that if a stranger is following me and it is dark that I have the right to stand my ground and defend myself.

you would be wrong if you hit the person following you and if they have a gun an you hit them you are most likely gonna be shot an killed for your mistake of assaulting some one out of the blue who possesses a fire arm

following people is legal at least once get over it no crime happend,no injustice scream about it until you are hoarse in the throat but that wont make you right, that is what jurys do when they rule you not guilty

Ok, for all of you who wish to protect Obama by stating the we who know him,are always against his political madness listen to this:
1.Mr. Obama will not finish his term.
2.He will resign rather than be impeached and jailed.
3. He is an author of violence in our country and internationally.
4. He is guilty of treason. Benghazi will convict him of turning his back on American Citizens, allowing them to die, including our Ambassador to protect their cover up of what was going on by the CIA and the Obama Whitehouse.
5.Hillary will never be elected to another office as she is as guilty as the President.
6. A complete change in direction for the Republic of the United States is already in progress.
7. By October transparency in our Economic Position will be seen by any American who cares to see us moving in a very stable profitable economy.
8. Obamacare will never be implemented. A better medical coverage solution is coming.
9. Progressives will again be defeated as the active Americans will see to it that socialism/communism/Fascism will be thrown out of the USA politics.
10. The States will govern and the Federal government will support.
11.The Federal Reserve will strictly administer small tasks and no longer steal from US Citizens.
12. US Treasury has taken over our monetary policy .(as it was ordered in September 1963 by John Kennedy who was executed by a CIA team in a public execution 11/22/63).
13. Trillions of dollars already have been given back to the US Treasury that the Federal Reserve has stolen from the American People over many decades. This happened last month. Americans stay strong! Zip Code Warriors.

So let's see, unarmed man, shot by armed man.

Let's not forget, someone is dead. Yes, he was found not guilty of murder or manslaughter. But the fact (and it is a fact) Zimmerman shot and killed Martin.

Some people may be proud of Zimmerman for what he did, some probably think he's a hero.

But maybe just maybe, humans can use words instead of violence to solve life's problems. Yes, guns don't kill people, but violence sure can.
