Is it because I don't have kids?
They all look the same, even after umpteen movies stretching back years.
They're all waaaay over rated!
Havent computers gotten better? All the dumb chars look like eggs with eyes..
Rotten Tomatoes is all over Pixar like a fat kid over a Smarty!
(votes are user driven yes I know.

Is it because I view most kids as rotten squealing brats?
Oh and did I mention the marketing? I hate pixar marketing.

I know. ^&&* hitting the fan all around us and I'm going off on Pixar.

When I was a kid we got to watch fliks like One flew over the Cucoos nest
That was a kids movie back then.
Non of this feel good animation Billy Crystal garbage.

ARRRRRGH!

oh and I hate the new Prius commercial as well. Might as well throw that in . Makes me want to vomit.

www.youtube.com...

That was a kids movie back then.

I haven't seen a Pixar movie years. Since I saw the movie Up. Which I though was really creative. I'm not a hopeless romantic and I cried a lot like a baby. When I was a kid I loved anything by the Disney/Pixar library. However, today I'm an adult and I'm not the target audience. It's all about the market.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the record I haven't seen a full pixar movie. Just enough to get irritated. I get barraged by the marketing and over the top ratings and commercials though, and yah, t.v off.

I'm no expert but I don't think that's a kids movie. I just checked and it's rated 'R' so I'm positive it wasn't targeted for a child audience.

It's been a long time since I've watched any cartoons except for Family Guy which is just hilarious!

Pixar films are made for children if you don't like them then watch something else it's not like Hollywood is going to stop spewing crap movies anytime soon.

The Prius itself is far more irritating to me than it's commercials or Pixar movies. A bunch of sheeple jumping on the 'cool' bandwagon to buy a car that uses less gas so they can say they are "helping the environment." Yes, lets help the environment by using less gas. Instead we will release much more detrimental pollutants produced when the battery is both created and destroyed. Hooray for ignorance!

BTW, if you don't like Pixar movies, don't watch them.

Funny thing you mention pixar, yesterday on FB (i know i should not use nsa backed social networks) the page formally known as 4Chan (now called, Welcome to the internet, because FB does not like anything around 4Chan), there was a image posted about the pixar intro with a statement about the lamp murdering the i in the name Pixar.

I then realised it has a symbolic meaning if you have ever had some spare time to look into illuminati conspiracy stories, illuminati is all about enlightment is it not?
So this Pixar intro could have a double symbolic meaning if you look closely at the used symbols and what they can be interpreted (the i can mean EYE or can be used as symbol for EGO, the lamp = light/enlightment/illumination):

1: Enlightment comes not through the EYE (i) or Eye's
2: To reach illumination one must kill the EGO.

Both very real meanings, but hardly understood by many, ergo the obvious goes unseen is a good way of hiding in plain site.

Pixar is a big brainwash corp (wich many here already know) personaly i've been very suspicious about everything surrounding kids and what they watch or being told, i could go on making up more symbolic explenations for the intro but the 2 i used where to me the most logical very symbolic and spiritual in nature.

I think it's purely a case of how companies market their wares to "Soccer Parents" that bothers me.

Taking their kids to Macdonalds to get the latest Pixar splashed cups, then onto a politically correct, over hyped Pixar film, and arriving in a Prius that they bought cause Toyota hired some cute little kid to sing their over the top politically correct commercial, and the kiddies thought that was sweet (so sweet that they hummed the dumb assed prius song the whole way)

Its commercialism. Parents are so strapped into the TV hype that they and their kids watch daily..It's (imo) sickening.
I watched a sporting event on TV and every commercial break had that Prius add. That's twenty viewings of the same add within an hour and a half. WTF?
The companies don't want you to "do your own thing" -unless that involves mindless catering to their products..

There's something unwholesome about the wholesomeness of it all.
