Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban, has told the UN that books and pens scare extremists, as she urged education for all.



What a brave girl, I hope this goes viral around the world.
I think we could all take a page from this girls book and actions.
Well done Malala you made me proud of humanity again.

Great catch OP. I've been following this girls plight for quite some time and I'm glad to see she got her voice heard with a World forum. She defines the price paid by society when extremists gain influence and power.
