I'm am an ATS fanatic. So much so that my wife says that she needs to join a support group for wives of husbands obsessed with ATS. "But you don't understand..." I always tell her. "ATS has opened my eyes to the real world and it keeps me informed better than anything on the tv or in newspapers." However, her comment makes me wonder.....Is there ever too much ATS.....Do we need a support group for ATS obsession?

while ATS for me is mainly used at work in times of lull to prevent me from wanting to pound sand from the day to day mundane trivial tasks. I really dont' get on much when I get home...

I agree it is very much so ATS is a eye opener, obsessive compulsive about getting on to read the next big ice breaker??? Meh.... If the world ends tomorrow ATS won't matter much now will it?

Remember, A happy wife is a happy life

Don't worry, after a few years of chasing your tail and getting no closer to the truth, all the while going through the most silly topics known to man, your interest will die off.

If you can get into intelligent debate on these forums, it can get quite addictive.

Luckily this rarely happens.

ATS is my support group that helps to keep me from going insane from being stuck at home raising a young grandchild instead of being out in the world like I was supposed to be at this age. Do they have support groups for addiction to another support group?

I don't think I will be able to attend the A-T-S-aholics Annonymous Meetings, but I am interested in the patches, they might help me get some sleep at night.

Addiction? (twitch) I don't know what you mean (twitch twitch) I've never heard of ATS addiction!

Seriously... I hadn't been here a couple months when I first heard the term "ATS Widow". I thought it was kinda cute back then. Then my Wife learned it ..and I've heard it in household chatter more than I'd ever liked to have. Err.. yeah... No addiction here! I can log off whenever I want to and never ever come back. See. You watch. I'll never be back just to prove it! Why, I'm leaving ....tomorrow, I tell ya! Yeah.. First thing tomorrow.

I damn near fell off my chair laughing so hard at this one !

A little inside joke between hubby and I whenever one of these rare moments arise where I'm deeply into discussion on an ATS thread:

Hubby: "Is someone wrong on the internet again honey ? (snicker snicker) "

Me: "Go away, you're interrupting my train of thought, this is important stuff."

Hubby: "If the world ever does come to an end, you'll be lost without ATS to see what's happening."

Me: "While you're busy with that going away thing, why don't you grab me a beer ?"

Ahhh life.... ya gotta love it.
