As many of you are aware, as the news broke about this NSA whistleblower, his name was always ERIC Snowden. Now, the news changes his name to EDWARD Snowden. What's the deal? Well, it's part of the social media game designed by the NSA. I'll explain further down.

First, let's look at anagrams. Usually anagrams are coincidental at best, but often times authors will use anagrams to generate character names. See: Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter series.

Eric Snowden - first name used by media
Eric Snowden = Censor Widen

CENSOR WIDEN is the game. The game is to see just what can and can't be controlled online, and how quickly. Part of this game is to scrub past stories and insert facts which weren't present in an initial report. If done in a reasonable time frame, more people will believe the edit, rather than the initial report, regardless of the edit being made.

Edward Snowden - second name used by media
Edward Snowden = Answer Ed Now DD
DD (DoD) now has control over the Edward Snowden character and further media contact. Mission Complete.

Ed Snowden - third and final name used by media
Ed Snowden = Ed Ends Now

Soon this story will disappear, as was intended all along.

Already bookmarked the ol Wordsmith. But thanks.

Another interesting anagram for Edward Snowden. Drown News Dead. A warning about the "other" slides and to play along?

One can get lost in the art of anagrams... It truly is fun to use hidden language in double speak. So... yeah, pretty sure this entire story is a media mindgame, which makes sense given the fictitious Snowden's background.

Great thread! A whole new world emerges, those who read in all directions, and try to control those who don't.

There are no coincidences and they do hide their plans in plain sight for us to see (MSM).

These anagrams are of no surprise, they do this crap all the time.

Interesting though, OP, good find.
