This is certainly an interesting study.
Basically they are saying that Fracking can increase earthquakes.

It's interesting that they site Yellowstone as an example of an area that has been studied that shows similar characteristics with fracking sites.

I'm sure now the environmentalists are going to have a field day.

Major earthquakes thousands of miles away can trigger reflex quakes in areas where fluids have been injected into the ground from fracking and other industrial operations, according to a study published in the journal Science on Thursday.

Previous studies, covered in a recent Mother Jones feature from Michael Behar, have shown that injecting fluids into the ground can increase the seismicity of a region. This latest study shows that earthquakes can tip off smaller quakes in far-away areas where fluid has been pumped underground.

Lets see how Britain does

We've agreed to fracking.

Its bloody fricking fracking stupid.
It's on the lines of GMO no proof of the outcome.

What's next? britain sinks beneath the waves and in generations to come
Britain will be a mythodical story.

To me it is mostly common sense, water is a lubricant for normally occurring seismic phenomena, the pressure alterations and the digging only expedites the normal geological processes.
