For all those who pretend to not understand why the government, and a lot of Americans, consider the gun owning, anti-government, redneck, "patriot" types to be dangerous read on.

Yes this is just one guy, but most Americans have known people like this, and that is why they consider them dangerous.

Dude, this guy is a common skinhead like criminal. Who wouldn't consider him dangerous? He is a felon and can't legally own weapons (not that they mentioned he had any, just previous information to dramatize the story a bit).

1,000 murders in Chicago this year... how many of them were due to the so called legal gun owners? I think the urban gangs are a bit more dangerous but we don't have spectacular stories every time someone is killed there of course.

This guy sounds like he was a threat to just about everything on two legs and probably a few on 4 as well. The only person it sounds like he didn't threaten was the President. Shame on that.... it would have gotten his kooky butt arrested and off the street without actually killing someone first.

First and foremost please dont lump him in with us rednecks were nice neighborly people. The irony in the gun owning comment is he used a knife there was no mass shooting. Seriously you adamant Obama supporters are crazy to try and lump a bunch of different people into one group. If he was as well armed as the police are saying and that paranoid do you really think they would have gotten him alive? As for Anti-government and "Patriot" types have you seen what are government has been up to lately? You would have to be a brainwashed sheep to believe in these criminals anymore.

Well, when Bush was in office, people said that Liberal environmentally concerned people were all Monkey Wrencher extremists such as the ELF when they burned SUVs in Oregon, for example.

I don't believe it's fair to lump everyone that identifies with a group, into a stereotype. Not picking on you, but rather what you have mentioned of how people think:
a) unknowing to what partisan conquer and divide is.
b) trying to get a rise out of people with opposite views using derogatory stereotypes.

Just to set it straight, I can see the concern for that dangerous Spokane man, hell he could have hurt a lot of people in let's say, the Bloomsday Parade, or even myself the wrong place at the wrong time.
