I got mine from the video game Portal. I was contemplating "Darth Brooks" as a username for a while but I was worried I wouldn't be taken seriously.

This thread has been so amusing, thanks guys!!

Cody....your 'name' has been bringing me luck, friend! In Ontario we have these $3 scratch (lottery) tickets called "Crossword". Sometimes they use themes...the latest has been names. It seems that whenever I get a ticket that has the name "Cody" on it, I win. (maybe only $3, but hey...better than nothing, lol).
Oh...also, my parents were both from Yorkshire, England...and my mother's side goes back to the Vikings in Denmark.

Okay...my user name...quite boring, really.
My initials (before marriage) were J.C., so JC (or Jacy) became a nickname. Strangely, the only REAL Jacy I ever met was a boy that I met from Toronto, when our families were both vacationing at the same resort. I added "girl" to the Jacy name to show that I'm not a dude. (I've noticed that are literally thousands of Jacygirl usernames online...weird methinks).

Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for a much needed friendly thread!

Yay jacygirl

long time no see

I trust all is well with you and yours

So how much do you owe me so far ?

Had an amazing ride out on the beast the other week, the weather was fantastic, the roads were clear the scenery was beautiful and the pegs were scraping the ground.

You popped into my head as I was riding, thinking I know a lady that would love this.
Made me smile

Hey Cody! I'm happy that you remember me!

Also totally jealous that you went for a ride, lol. (Shouldn't smile too much when riding....end up with bugs in your teeth!)

When you said your 'pegs were scraping the ground' I remembered a funny story. One weekend a bunch of us rode to Port Dover for Friday 13th (kinda like Ontario's Sturgis, lol). A friend, super-funny guy from Newfoundland, bought himself some new highway pegs. He spent all Sunday afternoon putting them on his bike....only to find out that he placed them badly and his short little legs couldn't reach them! We called him "DAN" (Dumb Ass Newfie) after that!

Ahhh...fun times....going to fondle my riding jacket now.
(Ohhh....and I owe you about $12 Cdn so far)

Keep your knees to the breeze friend!

Hi Cody,
I like rain a lot. Sometimes when it's raining (not too much though, because I don't want to get sick.) I will get my big umbrella , when most of the people are trying to get off the street, and go for a walk to the supermarket, or grocery store.

It seems so peaceful, walking in the rain, hardly anyone on the street.

I wanted to find a username that was a little mystical and had to do with rain. So I googled a couple of terms , until I came across a similar image to this one: And I put 1 and 1 together and voila!- Rainbowresidue.

Mine is straight forward. I'm a Philadelphia Flyers Fan. Big time. I love NHL.
I could easily become an addict of the Hockey Channel on TV.

Thank you, I will do so. Maybe today in the evening. It's now 2:50 PM here, so it probably will take some hours, but I keep in mind.

Hi Rainbowresidue

It always surprises me when an old thread comes to the fore.

I'm particularly chuffed this time. Allow me to tell you a story your username always reminds me of,

I was walking in the woods by a stream with my kids years ago, It was the first time they ever saw a rainbow and as happens the rainbow disappeared, they were gutted.

'Dad what happened to the rainbow ?'

I had some oil on my hands from working on my bike and said 'Do you want see some magic ?' They nodded with massive smiles on their little faces.

I placed my hands in a pool we had come to and hey presto instant rainbow, for years they thought I carried a rainbow in my pocket.

Every time I see your username I remember that day.

Thanks

Cody

Awww, that's so heartwarming. Your kids are lucky.

My dad used to be a mechanic, so I know the oil-water phenomenon all too well.

Now you made me think of my childhood memories, laying on my back under the car, watching my dad fixing something, haven't thought of that in ages.

Thanks to you too.
Ok CSI is starting, gotta go.

Hi Flyers

Long time no see, I know what you mean I'm a massive formula 1 fan and could easily spend all day watching races. Well until Vettel showed up
