Are we allowed to advertise our own boards here for other members to visit?

Only with express permission from Simon.

Well, I just created a new forum and I would really like it for people to come and visit. Seeing as how this is one of the most popular boards around with the quickest responses, I wouldn't mind if everyone here would come to my boards. Maybe for now I could send out the link via U2U for whoever would like to visit?

Please use the "comments" link at the top of the screen for permission and include a link to your forum so staff can review the site.

Thanks.

Sorry, not without permission from senior admin. From the Terms & Conditions for use:

9.) You will not advertise or promote other discussion boards or websites on ATS without prior written permission from me (Simon Gray). You will not use ATS to bash other boards or engage in so-called "board wars".

Use the comment/suggestion form to post your request which will be seen by the board administrators.

The LAST thing we want are people just using ATS to advertise their sites.

I have my site advertised in my sig, subtly, and quietly, on one line giving text to the site instead of the whole link.

Try that and you will be OK. maybe...

I think NC's example is normally acceptable as long as your new site doesn't contravene the T&C of ATS ie, no porn.

Well I've put my site in my signature so for those of you who would like to check it out just click on the link. My site has no porn and is mainly a discussion board like this one, however I need help in attracting members since it is new. Anyone willing to help?

Send me a U2U I'd be happy to take a look at your site.

I have 40 plus websites so maybe a few of them could trade traffic with yours.

Not only does this thread advertise your site, but the link within your signature doesn't work... I'm getting the usual "Not authorized to view this site" jargon; even when going to it's home page, it doesn't work.

It was my fault, you have to take out the "http://" in order to view the web page. So, just type the usual "WWW." and the rest of the address and it will work. My fault, sorry.
