Someone remind me where the line between terrorist and freedom fighter is again?

Sure. When they are defending their homeland from imperialism, they are terrorists. When they are invading another country and killing people for the lolz, they are freedom fighters and rebels.

Nah a freedom fighter is a rebel that won a terrorist is a rebel that lost.

It's nice to see they are considering not sending arms officially but we all know they are smuggling them arms unofficially.

For some reason numbers matter to some 70,000 to 90,000 in two years of civil war. If these numbers are even close to true ,the only thing we need to do is teach them to shoot better. Which side do you want to win would seem more important. Info from many sources say we are already arming rebels through back door operations.. The only reason to put it on the table would be more funding. Maybe we should send McCain to India ...www.guardian.co.uk...

Wouldn't be without the AID of Russia,China, and Iran

Wheres the denunciation from ALL those who are tired of US involvement in the ME?

::crickets::

The radical muslims helped by NATO are installing non-secular governments and persecuting religious minorities. Is that what you want? Why would you have a problem with russia, china and iran trying to keep the middle east secular??

What's this about NATO? Nato bombs aren't killing Muslims from pillar to post? When did they have this amazing change of heart?

Al-Sisi is well known in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), where he served as military attaché before being promoted to be chief of Egyptian military intelligence. There are widespread rumors in the Middle East that Saudi intelligence provided funding and support for the downfall of Morsi’s government and encouraged the growing popular opposition to his government. They are also reported to have promised al-Sisi that they would replace any military or economic aid cut off by Washington in the aftermath of the regime change (as they did in Pakistan in 1998, when that country tested nuclear weapons and Washington cut aid). The kingdom has a long history of covertly funding regime change around the world, and the head of Saudi intelligence, Prince Bandar, is a master of intrigue. It is difficult to evaluate how much is real in these rumors, as is usually the case, but the kingdom’s unhappiness with developments in Egypt since 2011 is very clear.
www.thedailybeast.com...

Saudi Arabia, aka our second bestest friends in the middle east. You know, the ones who supplied 15 of the 19 alleged hijackers, the country that spawned the billionaire Bin Laden family that was so tight with Carlyle and Bush, the ones who are helping to fund and provide the "rebels" in Syria, those staunch Royal buddies of Israel that the Saudi people would dearly love to get rid of.

We've got our shoes on the wrong feet again.

NATO has always supported religious fanatics whether its christians, jews or muslims. It helps keep socialism and communism far, far away. You should know this by now?

Its amazing that you fell for the ptb(who run NATO) planted stories in the media. Obozo gets caught and so lets blame saudi arabia for our "misfortune".

Remember, the population of Egypt is almost evenly split between MB and the opposition and from what I've heard the protest wasn't a majority at all ~ just the majority in the major population centers.

According to some egyptians who took part in the demonstrations in egypt and who posted here on ATS the MB is a minority, not a majority. The elections were rigged the first time and NATO made sure that MB would win.

That is why there was a second revolution. To remove the MB minority from power. The egyptian military supported them.

Edit to add ~ and I'm sure you do remember how the media reported the occupy protests. A couple thousand people became a few hundred dirty hippies, IF they were mentioned at all. Numbers can be and are often reversed. Why do you believe them now?

edit on 8-7-2013 by frazzle because: (no reason given)

Many right wingers still claim a few hundred dirty and lazy hippies. Also many left wingers claim tea party is facist orientated run by the koch brothers.

People are swallowing this fake journalism hook, line and sinker because big media has a bigger audience than alternative media, at least in the west. In the east msm is much more reliable imho so they don't need alternative media.

it does not mean we should have 15 saudi arabias and irans.

Again I have to challenge you. WE should have? WE should not have any say in what THEY choose to be. WE have more than enough to worry about within our own borders.

Sorry, guess I'm in an argumentative mood tonight.

I completly agree with this so there is no need to apologise. We simply disagree on some details.

Not only should we NOT get involved in the middle east, but we are backing religious fanatics that want to turn the middle east into a religious warzone. Fanatic jews in israel and fanatic muslims in the other countries.

NATO is run by billionares and trillionares, whom chair the secret societies and meet at the annual bilderberger meetings and at bohemian grove, and who reportedly could be pure satanists. That is why there are people above government and we can NEVER get peace and prosperity. Its all about religious sacrifice for them, war profiteering, drug smuggling, money laundering, etc.

If by "support" you mean keeping them stirred up and fighting against their brothers year after year, I guess you might have a point.

Here's a list of NATO member countries. Not a religious fanatic in the bunch unless you consider how they all worship at the feet of the golden calf at the UN, BIS, WB, WTO, WHO, Wall Street, the FED and all the rest of the money gods. I guess that could qualify as religious fanaticism.

www.nato.int...

I didn't know Obama got "caught", and posting facts is not "blaming".

Saudi Minister visits NATO HQ
Discussions centred on the political dialogue and practical cooperation activities, which exist in the context of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI). "Saudi Arabia is a key player in the region and NATO would welcome the opportunity to engage the Kingdom's governement as a partner in the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, ICI ", said the Secretary General.

So who's been bamboozled?

Well that's a real shocker, so the opposition comes to ATS and posts pro-opposition rhetoric.

I think you could maybe figure that they aren't here to paint a pro Morsi picture, or even a balanced picture.

Kind of like Faux News, very fair and balanced.

I am pretty sure saudi arabia had no say in the second egpyptian revolution. Obama is using saudi arabia as a decoy to cover his tracks. The stories you are pointing to have disinfo written all over them, but you are free to not take my word for it yet.

Sooner or later someone will come to power in egypt and hopefully they will be much less radicalised than MB.

BTW how can you be anti MB in syria, yet be pro MB in egypt? There is a disconnect somewhere in your logic.

Nuance.

The rebels in Syria are many things but they are not Muslims of the Qur'an and the same is true of any who call themselves such while seeking to do harm to others, especially women and children. The same is true of those who call themselves Jews, but are not, and those who call themselves Christians, but are not. Remember that old line, by their deeds you shall know them.

As for what Saudi Arabia is doing to stir many pots, they've been doing it openly for years so you can't be sure of anything, you can only know what you limit yourself to reading/watching/believing.

By the way, I am not supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, I just really detest being lied to so I look for the truth wherever I can find it. When the media is all over something like flies on honey I usually look for the other side of the story. That's a habit, because they are proven liars. Sometimes I find what seems more logical and truthful and sometimes nothing makes sense because lying is not limited to Faux news.

I believe in the ancient astronaut hypothesis, not in religions. Religions have mixed spiritualism with satanic paganism. Nephelim versus elohim is what people should be researching. The longer we believe lies the more messed up this world will be.

Mainstream history is bogus as well. Humans did not build any megalithic site, nephelim giants did.

Why don't we get ufo disclosure? Because the ptb want to sacrfice fools at the alter!

Good for you. Its what you believe. Good luck convincing the rest of the world you're right and they're wrong.

You say: "What people should be .....". How is that more tolerant than any other believer telling you what you should be researching? Our problem isn't beliefs, its intolerance.

But if you're right those ancient astronauts clearly made some big mistakes. Guess I should stop blaming the Saudis for everything, then.

I didn't read through everything but this is good news...at least for now.

We have no business supporting either side...it is a civil/internal conflict. Since Syria was...for years...a valuable ally in the region...we should honor them by staying out of it and minding our own business.

They are a sovereign nation and should be given the dignity that goes along with that.

Everything that happens...happens. It is not our job or our right to interfere...regardless of our corporate interests. If the rebels win...then they win...if Assad wins...so be it. The world will still keep turning regardless.

I'd be more concerned if the rebels won...they'll just turn their eyes on Jordan and Israel next...and then us.

Every place we have stuck our meddling nose in is in shambles now...why doesn't anyone see that and leave it alone?

I don't expect people to believe me. The topic has been kept fringe on purpose by the ptb. Those that are open-minded enough and do the proper research find out the truth eventually. The media is controlled, the church is controlled, the schools are controlled, the government is controlled, the economy is controlled, everything is controlled...which leads to the logical conclusion its all one enormous pyramid scheme!

And yet there seems to be a significant segment of society that believes in this philosophy, so its out there.

Wouldn't it be great if all who believe as you do could migrate to an agreed upon place, state or country where you could mingle unimpeded and develop your beliefs and an economy according to the agreement of the residents?

But see, the one thing that makes this impossible is the one thing government controls best ~ land. You may NOT set up a community that suits your purposes unless it also suits theirs. You need permission to "use their land according to their rules." Controlling land, which is what supports life and provides freedom, is how they control all of the other things you have listed above, and more.

Muslim countries are suffering from the same constraints. The major world governments/corporations want to own their land and all the resources. Once they have the land, the first thing they do is open a Rothschild bank, which is truly where the rules passed by governments are written. Anyone who rejects that plan is a terrorist.

No Muslim did this to us. Sharia law prohibits usury banking, a big no-no to usury bankers. So they're all terrorists.

I can't say this for a certainty because I've never tried it but it wouldn't surprise me if you would find more open minds to hear your theories there, than here. Or at least people would probably listen politely.

from my research so far here is the power structure...

a)reptillians b)royal families c)masonry(banking) d)big business e)government

The rothschilds own the money supply and use the rockefellers to pass agenda 21 which is a trojan horse.

I do NOT consider muslims the enemy any more than I consider christians the enemy. Just mislead sheep passing on indoctrinated falsehoods from parents to siblings. Spiritualism is very real. I myself AM a christian and somewhat proud of it. However I do not go to the church to get communion, I do not go to church to get married, etc. Well at least I avoid it because I don't like to be hypocritical, believing one thing and doing something else, but peer pressure sometimes forces me to do things I dont like.

We are all humans on this planet including the native americans who live above nwo underground bunkers.

It might be as broad and undefinable as how far up in the social strata you
have to be before they call one assasinated insteada just whacked. I
can imagine if the government invented them, they'd lose face for not supplying
and supporting them. "Hereya go kid, you're on your own."
The wonderful part of this is whoever's doing the supplying lately just pronouncing
their not needing Congressional approval... as if.
"We're going to give all this deadly stuff to some wild men over there because
they're right on our page with the chaos crap... so shutup." You've got to love it.

Yikes.

You say Christians are misled sheep and yet you claim to be one? I just can't think of anything to say to that. Actually that whole post has left me pretty much speechless.

Have you ever read the Qur'an? Its pretty doubtful that anyone in congress has read it, they don't even read the bills they vote on.
