Obama: “The government is us, and we’re doing things right”

Reminder in this democracy this government belongs to us

The U.S. apparently has no national referendum policy.

The absence of a 'vote' on major legislation means that 'we the people' have nothing to say about what laws get passed.

The U.S. needs a national referendum on all major legislations every two years.

Does anyone know if a national referendum has ever happened in America ?

The fact of the matter is most Americans agree with and support what he is doing. Or, to be more accurate - they support him, and could give a damn about what is actually happening.

ATS is a vacuum. The average joe public doesn't come here to read peoples opinions and become educated. It's all of us in this vacuum chamber, shouting outrageous news at each other and informing/educating pretty much no one.

I think all the videos of Obama making statements over the last month prove one thing - when he's eventually thrown out of the White House, he's looking for a career in stand up comedy.

It's the only explanation, no sane person would ever be able to take him seriously again. He could stand in front of a room of ten year old's and tell them the sky is blue, and they'd run to the windows to check.

The man is the biggest BS merchant I think I have ever had the misfortune to witness. It's even worse because he lies right into the camera, right to the people, without hesitation. That's not just someone covering their own behind, that's someone with a pathological ability.

It's hard to believe that I would ever trust someone less than I trusted Bush, but but this guy takes the art of BS'ing to a whole new level.

It's absolutely pathetic that the POTUS calls our country a Democracy!! The USA was founded as a Republic, for very good reasons, like EVERYBODY's rights being protected. Whereas in a democracy, majority rules and the minority gets 'screwed over'! Not to mention that democracies ALWAYS devolve into tyrannies!

This guy is our President but is not qualified to run a Taco Bell. The same is true for the CZARs, administration, federal and supreme court judges he picked. They are all cartoon characters, lobbyist and rejects from the real world.
It is amazing that the US population has degenerated into letting this guy stay in office. The bar has been lowered some much by the Liberal cry babies and culture so polarized that we are now spineless couch potato freeloaders and criminals and rest of use have our heads stuck in the sand. The media and telecom are so corrupt that any organized resistance would be futile now that the Homeland Security forces have geared up to shot us with the bullets they bought with our tax money.

One of the major problems is. Obama is trying to run our Constitutional Government like a Corporation He thinks all he needs is the correct *business* plan to make things work. For one, he has zero business experience, and business plans are not based on our Constitution.

He's a massive fail on both fronts. Working within the parameters of our existing Constitutional Government, and running a successful corporate business. He's a failure at either of these scenarios.

Ok I'll tell you what....let's just call it Progressive since it encompasses both liberalism and socialism in a far left scenario. We can add some Globalism for those things which the Left considers Right, such as oh warhawkishness(although many Progressives such as FDR also got us into wars).

I think a lot of people don't really know what he is doing, and/or don't care as long as he keeps giving them free stuff.(Obamaphones and such).
