I hope Iceland will grant Snowden citizenship. He is a hero of America who is extremely brave when daring to stand up to expose the corruption of the goverment. His sacrifice is for the sake of American people and worth being appreciated. Iceland is a good country and he should find a place for him there.

Well, regardless of how he's seen, hero or villain, it doesn't look likely that he'll get citizenship. From your source:

The proposal to grant Snowden citizenship received limited support when it was discussed Thursday – the last day before summer recess. Six members of minority parties were in favor out of Parliament's 63 members.

I hope they will be brave enought to accept him. This guy is worth being granted an asylum for his sacrifice for the public.
