Islamophobia is it that bad on ATS?

i know i may not get that many/no replys to this
so i will just post this anyway.

after reading some replys and topics by some people
i came to see that alot of people are islamaphobic

the reason i came to this because alot of people seem to blame the whole minority not just the the few that are causing the problems

I'm .... hmm... killaphobic

Bad people are in every country/place/race/religion/color/sex/yadda - it doen't care where.

I don't care "what" someone is - it's the "who" that person is of themself that I look for.

If you see xenophobic or racist threads then you should alert a staff member who will deal with it.

I don't see any, the viewing experience here is still a good one

Why don't we have a Forum to discuss the difficult issues that place Islam in opposition to American Laws and culture:

1. Female genital mutilation;
2. Oppression of women that requires them to dress like bags of laundry;
3. Sexual exploitation of young boys by older men;
4. Harsh judicial practices: cutting off the hands of a thief.
5. History and dubious distinctions enjoyed by Mohammed himself.

And also, let's deal with the elements we have in common:

1. Scriptural history in common.
2. Laws in common.
3. The Islamic practice of personal hospitality versus American commercialistic "hospitality INDUSTRY."
4. The issue of Obedience Vs. Autonomy, much as it plays out among Catholics and Anglicans in the Christian Domain.

I think we have a great deal to talk about, to at least come to common understand of where we disagree.

That's the point at which we can start praying for a diminution of the differences, for mutual forgiveness, and for the strength to resist all pressure to corrupt and compromise Justice and Fairness with Elitism, Jingoism, croney-ism and Federalism.

It's worth a try, doncha think?

Islam does not deserve the same .
consideration as other belief systems Do to the nature of what is in the Quran.
where you learn Mohammed is a good example for muslims to follow.
Where do you find out what kind of man he was from the Al sira Alhadtith Sunnah
you will find out the founder of Islam was a murderous pedophile who tortured people and encourages muslims to lie so they can take over the world.

it would be nice to see a mutual discussion on a subject
where people places their views on facts not on personale beleifs
or propaganda that they get from biest sources

i dont fear them, i just dont like them anymore. maybe i have seen to many beheadings and pictures of children with suicidebelts and exploded trains in spain and 9/11......(insert a list that is by far to long to have a neutral position about islam anymore).

This is not about muslims its about ideology
if your going to defend Islam you had better find out what your defending and there is only one place to do that the founding documents

There was info quoted out of the Quran that was totally inaccurate. It wasnt even close. It was used as propaganda to back up the US invasion in Iraq.

i think you miscalculate peoples ability to respond to something.

I don't think I'm a Islamicophobe.....but I'm sure as hell a terrorist one.

Most of the action seems to be coming from Islamic and or Arab based one......I recognise it the same way I used to get pissed off about Irish or Spanish or any freakin ethnic home grown terrorist groups.

Timothy Mc Vie was in my eyes a mo fo domestic American TERRORIST.....its the terrorist part that s**ts me. I suppose I'd only be really po'd about a terrorists nationality if it was another white Australian like me...because that would be so close to home, if you know what I mean. I'd know it wasn't representative of the majority but it would be one of us... it would be shameful and almost too hard to contemplate.....do you know what I mean... I can only hope and beleive that is the same response of most Iraqis and arab/muslims people in the world.....shock, horror and disbeleif that some of these guys come from thier part of the world...but then maybe they have lived with it for so long they are resigned to it.

I wish more people could get it clear in thier heads the difference between a people, thier beliefs and the mo-fos who kill unbidden in the name of the majority who probably hates them as much as we do.

Neither is Christianity Mate......I heard and seen some very un-christian acts done in the name of it.

It's just some we have managed to get ourselves somewhere near the top of the relatively well fed food chain over the rest of them.

Its nice to feel pure as the driven snow (no dig intended at any person,just the general concept)

How does it contradict itself? Muhammad was a war criminal. He had opponents assasinated, entire tribes of Jews massacred, raped women, sold survivors (usually just women and children--the men were killed) into slavery, plundered their wealth and made himself considerably rich from it.

Bukhari's the most widely recognized sound (sahih) hadith. Very bloody. Very immoral (Muhammad marries a 6 year old girl and consummates the marriage at 9)

That's Sirat Rasul Allah by Ibn Ishaq, and you'll have to fork over about $40.00 to read it, which I of course have.
