Mandrake 10.1 Community

I am redownloading mandrake community 10.1 cd's and want to create a mandrake rig.

I had downloaded a copy before and burned direct to cd using nero, but it would not boot from cd-even though it is supposed to be able to do so. Yes, in the bios it was set to boot from cd. I get something like non-bootable media.....

I have tried with blank HD, ntfs formatted, fat formatted even ext3 formatted, but won�t boot from cd. Any help would be great.

I thought if it did not boot from cd, you could use 98 boot disk, but need to know correct command to enter from command line.

I am an M$ guy and this is my first attempts at the penguin. Rig has P3 933 with 512 MB ram-should be enough to start.

mdk is good for starters but lookin into www.slackware.com or gentoo there realy good wen u know wat ur doin
