indeed the waste extends to all aspects of gov. and these mighty air craft suffer more than the fighters through under funding and corruption. your thread sparked a little more interest for me with my Dad's service in WWII, seems he was in the 70th Division 276th Infantry and i even found a blog from someone who was there with him and mentioned him in his memoirs.

keep fighting the good fight my friend as i now found a new view and appreciation for those with a hobby like yours.
