Donald Rumsfeld is qutoed as having said that "the operation in Fallujah will take time". As to whether or not Fallujah will be a showdown Rumsfeld

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the operation launched to take the Iraqi city of Fallujah would "take time" but US-Iraqi
forces would see it through to the end.
At a Pentagon (news - web sites) news conference, Rumsfeld shied away from a question whether the operation in Fallujah would be a "final showdown"
and said that insurgents holed up in the city were determined to resist.
