this is the sharpie dance from the 70's
sharpie's were an Australian alternative to skinheads
their dance is typical of the time
its before my time, i was a rude boy in the 80's

I remember it! I was living in the U.S. heartland in the 70s. It's really amazing how quickly the Aussie stuff crossed the ocean to reach us. I love punk, and two of my favorite bands are from Australia. Both bands were put into the punk genre, but they're really just flat-out rock & roll.

From what I witnessed, the original Sharpies, much like the first wave of real punkers, died out by the early 80s.
I think that adds to the coolness factor.
