I got a bizarre SMS from T-Mobile today, who normally just text me about the latest bill:

Whether your OP is a joke or not I don't know due to a weird message a few weeks ago. I received a text message from my sister that was comprised of all sorts of crazy symbols and I texted her back with "OK, so you're having one of THOSE days again, aren't you?" I didn't here back from her until that evening when she called to ask what in the world my text was referring to. I tried to forward it back to her and the text disappeared, but fortunately the text had also been sent to our mother, who was smart enough to take a pic of it with her Kodak.

My sister never sent that text, in fact she was at work when it was sent and her phone was turned completely off. No one had access to it (she has a private office and purse locked in bottom desk drawer) so the only logical conclusion we could come to is it must have been some sort of virus. I suggested she download an antivirus program to her smart phone and nothing similar has occurred since. Just makes me glad I stick with a regular old flip phone.

Nothing to worry about. It just looks like the NSA and aliens are having a good laugh over something. All the "" emoticons are a dead giveaway.

Good points, yes it's tongue in cheek I'm sure just an error - but these things do peak my curiosity sometimes, as do all strange transmissions, whatever format people receive them in.

I mean, over the years we've seen television transmissions go from no glitches (unless a whole substation goes out) to glitchy (horrible digital glitches with squiggly sound noises), I guess it's only been a matter of time before mobile phone companies are hit with viruses or spam attempts even they can't control. The message to me says "We have an unstable system" or something, lol. But who doesn't know it, as pointed out (thank you) they are called one thing to the next year on year.

Using numerology I was able to decipher it. It comes from an Alien whistle blower and he says to expect some @nal probing when you get the bill.

Hmmm...this is probably a more earthly computer glitch. It would be interesting to think about the method of an alien transmission. If the pesky critters were intelligent enough to make it into our airspace, we probably would be able to understand it because they would have uploaded the entire dictionary and encyclopedia into their gigantic brains. Now if it was a message from across the galaxy, we probably wouldn't be able to interpret it. In fact, they could be sending us messages now, and it is so foreign to us that we don't even recognize it as a form of communication. If I was to take a guess, I would say it was in the form of vibrations. But now that's just my thoughts on it.
