Doom Porn is never based on scientific facts; it is a distortion of what is real for the sake of garnering attention, selling books, or causing irrational fear. The simple fact that many have posted scientific evidence contrary to your "theory" which you have either attempted rebuke through more junk science, or refuse to entertain at all, is very telling.

The list of how many times this planet has been DOOMED, just in the last couple of decades should give you an indication as to why threads such as this are scrutinized so closely, and why folks such as myself treat this stuff with sarcasm and indifference.

What concerns me with Ison, is NASA is saying this is going to be the comet of the century, but has very little information, and the information NASA and the naval observatory has given out I have read or heard is the core of ISON, is 2 clicks wide in diameter, that is pretty small, compared to hale bop, or Halley. As far as MANKIND understanding what comets are made of don't get me started, we do not know and have absolutely no idea what a comet is made up of we are just guessing our best guesses man, if we do know these secrets its those evil elites that know it and will never tell us . I think NASA, knows something about ISON, and is not telling us.. That alarms me a bit, Signs, of Ison, will begin to come to light in September...

If your intelligent folks, I would start digging for info on ISON, starting now, something strange is going on with this comet... It is hyped to all hell and very, I mean very little info is being shared with us...

Just saying.. Hopefully amateur astronomers will start pointing their telescopes at it soon.

I would be more inclined to be concerned about a meteor storm from the debris in the tail. NASA says it will be dust and provide us with nothing more than a dusting and an increase of noctilucient clouds. This comet is estimated to be 5km or 3mi across.

Meteor storms occur when the Earth crosses the orbit of the meteor stream, at the same time that the main mass of the young meteor stream is crossing the orbit of the Earth. For streams with a low potential for orbital perturbation, this event may occur on a periodic basis, generally at around the same time that the parent comet becomes visible in the inner solar system. Streams which tend to undergo frequent orbital perturbations may only cause infrequent and rare storms, some never occurring again. To make the possibility even more remote, these streams also tend to be very narrow, with the Earth taking only a few hours to cross the concentrated portion of the streams’ path. When Earth passes through the debris stream, we will encounter two populations of comet dust. One swarm of dust will be following the Comet ISON into the sun. Another swarm will be moving in the opposite direction, pushed away from the sun by solar radiation pressure. The streams will pepper opposite sides of Earth simultaneously.

The orbit of ISON crosses our ecliptic on its way into the sun and we pass the same spot in mid-January which is when we will encounter any dust or debris in the tail

This comet passed between earth and mars and will not return until 2842

And what would the dust that we are supposed to see from this comet do to our already over productive clouds? Comet dust helps in the formation of rain clouds. More floods?

Along with any other evidence you have that proves you are a more credible source than every scientist and astronomer from the last 30 years who have given us such misinformation.

As I've said before, one of the more appallingly stupid ideas that conspiracy theorists come up with is the idea that anything related to space has to somehow be filtered through NASA.
As if they're the worldwide gatekeepers of "space" knowledge.

There must be fifty bazillion astronomical organisations worldwide, and (comparatively speaking) NASA does jack hhhit of it.

But conspiracy theorist dont seem to learn anything. So when its ever related to "space", like comet Elenin, or killer asteriods, or moronic ideas about magic elements in space, they always blame NASA - an organisation who DOESNT have the ability to keep it secret (or even learn about it first).

And despite what I said about sects, I'm fine with "everyone can believe what he wants", but I think this should stay "Underground". That would avoid much conflicts between religions and with atheists.
I have no problem with that kind of behaviour... I just have problems with people quoting the bible as facts or as proofs. They are not. They are part of fantasy + reassuring against the fatality, and part of highly distorded facts (either to better match the doctrine, either just faded out with time...). And as long people will do so, I'll consider Religion as a problem for humanity. slowing it down, generating useless conflicts and hate, and justificating almost anything, even genocides. That's why I consider religions as obsolete for our current state of civilization. Not because religions themselves, but because of their most credule and unsuspiscious adepts.
