Is it possible to get past these childish Christianity v Islam tit-for-tat threads?

Is it possible to have substantive discussion without degrading into "the Bible is nothing but lies" or "the Quran itself is explanitery"?

The original intent of this forum is to post links to found content. And... the original intent of the Religion forum is not to provide people with an opportunity to bash another's beliefs, but to discuss religion's role in conspiracy-related concepts past and present.

Get beyond belief comparisons please.

That made absolutely no sense, someone please translate what she is trying to say because I'm not getting the message. thats honesty

O.K. I have yet to see two books get up and battle it out, therefore the before mentioned bible vs. the koran cannot happen.
As for what they say, That is a matter of interpretation, I guarentee I can find two christians or tow muslims and they will completely disagree as to what their book of worship says....

Do not worry my Islam friends I relise that our belief in our religious literature will never sway, but least we all know that religious fundamentalism, (such as what Helen is always evangelising) has no place in heaven.

Helen get a life, and a real accepting religious attitude accept other religions, dont try to convert us all to your closed minded, misinterpreted biblical drivel.

The bible was never ment to be taken that seriously.

Remember there is no substantial proof that many of the books in the bible were actually written by who many religious fundamentalists belive wrote them. Secondly many of the books were not written until many years even centuaries after the detailed events took place.
Finally do you really belive that the words in red were the actual words that Jesus spoak. The gospels were not written until almost a centuary after he was killed.
Jesus spoak aremaic the gospels written in Greek. the one you read in english, much of the meaning has been lost in translation. Least Islams book is still read and is the same as the day it was written.

Sorry if this post has an edge to it . But I am sick and tired of seeing fundamental evangelism posted!!.

Moreover Islam is a religion that recognize and respect Noe,Abraham,Moise and Jesus as great prophets!
Not the cas in return of Chritianism nor the Jew religion!

Muslims speak about Jesus.... whereas the Church do not even consider Mahommed as a prophet.....

(i am not a muslim, i am catholic........ shame on me....... )
