i watched this programme yeesterday on channal 4 and it was talking about the 1st earth battalion (i think it was that, not sure if battalion is right).
did anyone else watch this, does anyone else have information about the project.

I don't have any info. to contribute, but what was the group? You gotta have a ball park idea. Sounds like an enviornmental group.

hey thats not a bad idea, lets make an EARTH BRIGADE and anhialate all of the corperate polution plauging the earth. just blow up all of the facilities so they cant mess up the planet anymore, that would be the ultimate goood deed imo

they already have a group like that, it's called earth liberations front, headquartered in canada, and deemed as a terrorist organization in the U.S..

The first earth battalion is a discussion document to get military strategists to think "out of the box" about the future of warfare. The main thrust of it is about the use of non-lethal force as a method of controlling the world and imposing the will of the Miltary.

The document alludes to all sorts of New Age practises like Yoga, Tai Chi and even telikinesis as means to attack and bewilder the enemy. It also starts with the principle that all wars in the future will be fought Live on TV.

It seems to have been written with good intentions but has resulted, ultimately, in the development of new forms of torcher and interrogation as well as the appearance of taser weapons and their like. Mental!

First Earth Battallion...what a joke. It takes us hours to fly cross-country...what the hell are we gonna do defending a planet. If an alien force reaches our planet, they obviously have better technology than we do...so we would easily be vaporized...they might take out the planet and not give us a chance to act like living sacrifices. Once we get some spiffy weapons, I'll give it a chance. But until then...we'd better stick to our countries.
