This reality which we inhabit is ultimately nothing more than a drama.

A great big show that the Creator is putting on for their own entertainment.

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts"

-William Shakespeare

Why do we watch a film or a play? To laugh? To cry? To learn? To forget?

Your life is a message, from the Creator, to the Creator. What is the message you wish to convey to yourself?

As actors, do we simply repeat the roles of those who have come before us?

A new actor may play a role in a re-creation of a classic tale, but the story expands with each retelling as each generation of new actors brings something new to the performance.

Reality is not a drama but when it is worded it becomes a story with the character called 'me' on the stage.
Where is the stage? Where is 'me'?

You see births (entrances) and you see deaths (exits) of all the men and women who are merely players. But you will never go anywhere, you have never been anywhere but right here watching the play.
The play consists of what is seen but can you find the seer of the scene?
The seer never actually appears on the stage.

It is just a musing.

It is ironic that when humans have nothing better to do in this day and age, they might stick a movie on to entertain themselves.

I love this little video (which came to mind when I wrote this reply) - thought I would share it.

The happening (the play/the movie) is just happening - no one is responsible for it but it is seen.

There is no creator. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. This is the second law of thermal-dynamics. We are eternal.

When we talk about creation, what is really implied is transmutation. Energy is changed from one form to another.

Perhaps you prefer the term Source.

The goal is to achieve newness. Even if it is about how a piece of paper is folded or where the drop of sweat lands.

No experience is ever the same (if it were then deja vu would not be a shock, when it occurs) , experience is constantly changing, morphing, never repeating. Experience is what life is 'made' of - not objects in time and space.
The 'goal' is to notice that newness does not have to be achieved - just notice that it is already the case.

Refreshing post. And closer to Truth then any philosophy or ideology.

We dream in much the same way. Microcosm, macrocosm, consciousness is a Mandelbrot. As Brahman dreams the lives of you and I, so do we in our nightly slumber.
