Wow, people are really trying hard to avoid the issue.

Question.

Why do men dress in women's clothes if not on stage or screen? (or other such entertainment purposes??)

Straight answers please.

ETA: No pun intended

Read the rest of the thread, my post is in response not to role play dress up, which I believe I made clear enough precedent of this for entertainment purposes, but to the notion of teaching children about cross dressing / trans gender issues, which some earlier posts were advocating.

if you believe that is OK, then I suppose you are fine with teaching children about BDSM or other such "alternative" lifestyles. Why else would the scouts teach you how to tie a reef knot.

Any you want to talk about sick minds.

For shame sir

Leave the innocent to their innocence at least a few years. Is the world not messed up enough as it is.

BDSM is an erotic sexual practice. Transgenderism is not. Granted there are a lot of men who cross-dress as a fetish but this is a cartoon aimed at children; sexuality does not factor into it. If this cartoon were glorifying ANY kind of sexual activity while targeting this young age group your argument would have merit. But it's not. Its a cartoon about a boy who has a female alter ego who fights crime.

By the way, implying that we're sick minded is just rude. Just because you were born with a mind that matches your body does not mean that you're better than us.

How many times did Bugs Bunny kiss Elmer Fudd? I doubt this show will even come close to doing that. It just looks like a crazy show with tweaked out characters like most kids shows these days. It's ironic that the lead character has to sacrifice his 'manhood' to get stronger. I doubt it even suggests anything at all. There are far more important issues in the world than what kids are watching on TV.

Wow you have not read,

1. the posts in which I was responding to
2, the post to which I responded
3, the post to which I wrote in repsonse.

Basically you have just not read anything, not understood it.

By the use of "us' I can assume you are of a transgender orientation?

Tell me, if you are a man transitioning to a woman, do you like men, or vice versa

Either way, I am not saying you are sick minded. I am saying that those that would teach children (as indicated by some of our esteemed members here in earlier posts has you cared to read them) as young as 6, about cross dressing (sexual) and transgender (sex reassignment), When they are just getting used to the fact (in a liveral house) that daddy has a "peepee" and mummy has a back bum and a front bum,

Will you leave them alone and just left them be kids!!!

ETA. I'm going to say this for the final time. I don't give a crap about some cartoon. My son likes to watch strawberry shotcake cartoons, and you know what, I watch them with him. What I object to is the ever growing need to tech kids about situations that really are adults only.

That is an intersting point. He has to sacrifice his manhood to get stronger.

While this is re-affirming to girls, is it not a symptom of the on-going emasculation of males in western society, which ironically women have started to bemoan since the growth metrosexuality
Seriously guys, there is a way to suave, sophisticated and a man, without being macho and stupid.

So the constant exposure of kids to sexual issues is OK, and not a concern to our society.

Lets just leave old folks on ice flows while we're at it. Hey it worked for the Eskimos

But please tell me, why should I worry about that is going on in Turkey or Brazil?? really?

Still crap.

Like every new cartoon, this one is no different, main character fighting crime/monsters/witches/demons/ninjas using some household item with magical properties, no substance, no debth and no story ark whatsoever.

Kids will grow to be idiots with these.

Just look at the generations:

Old CN Kids - ok
Fox Kids - ok
Transition - ok
New CN and Jetix and Nickelodeon - a bit stupid and somewhat retarded, all want to become stars

I wasn't sure how to respond to this, so I thought that watching the intro might help. Instead, I only became more confused about the matter of whether to laugh, cry, yell, or puke. Two things are definitive in my mind after this experience:
First, things are a lot different from the days of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons.
Second, I wouldn't go about endorsing or advocating this towards kids as it blurs the line between men and women which, for obvious reasons, can lead to complications in relationships.

There is a plethora of reasons for gender differentiation in society. One of which is part of the bygone era to which women were discriminated against, and they reacted accordingly by expressing themselves in other means. Another is simply because the urge for broader diversity among sentient beings encouraged the expression of biological differences. Whichever way you approach the topic, it has its reasons for existence, but the way society responds to the violation thereof can be inappropriate and overemphasized. Express whatsoever should come natural to you subjectively unless objectively you would rather avoid inducing, prolonging, or exuding the suffering of others. Know that each action has consequences that you can either accept or avoid the action altogether.

Postscript: Back to watching Death Note. At least it has a progressive plot, intriguing setting, and diverging character development.

I made a post a while ago on ats and the title was THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH GAY CHILDREN and the post was generally about the liberal view that homosexuality should be exposed to children at a young age arguing they need to grow up knowing that it´s OK to be gay and its a natural choice to make .. anyway the first couple of posts i received were from fags as they obviously didnt like what i said then the entire thread was removed and i received a warning for posting what ats deems crap,

this cartoon is just 1 of many things aimed at converting regular children into freaks its plainly obvious to normal humans .

I would bet, homosexual tendencies have existed forever.
What's better, to hide it and pretend it doesn't exist, or deal with it in plain language.
Making this behavior taboo only alienates people who have these feelings and can create a deranged perspective in those who do not. (your language demonstrates this perfectly)

If you had a son who wanted to play with dolls and pretended to be a little girl, what would you do?
Wouldn't you want this child to grow up in a world where he/she is accepted and loved by everyone?

It starts by admitting this behavior exist and is not going away whether you like it or not. Perhaps you don't like it because you have been taught not to like or accept it.

If we are are lucky, future generations will not stigmatize those with homosexual tendencies.
I don't think there are people/organizations "out there" who want your children to be gay, but maybe they want your gay child to feel at least equal to others. I see this as a good thing because as of now, many of those children probably do not find acceptance at home.

What would you teach your feminine boy? Would you call him a freak, or a fag?

if my son got a gay friend or felt confused i would make no bones about it, i would probably rent the most gruesome gay porno i could find then make my son watch it

2 guys eating eachothers # should put him of queers for life

then i would rent a proper descent porno of real beautilful asian women going at it with a dildo or something then i would tell him he can have a couple of asian women and a car for his 18th birthday if he stays straight and abstains untill then..

what would you do if your son was thinking about playing for the other team ?

lemme guess you would nurture those feelings expressing tolerance reinforcing the idea its ok ?

Oh my Five G's

Good Gosh Get A Grip Girl,

One, it's not a choice, Two there is nothing wrong with being Homosexual, transgender, transvestite, Drag Queen, or anything 'Alternative'

Actually you're wrong. Being a drag queen is certainly a choice. Again, as previously stated it is entertainment.

While the other I accept there is a psychological urge, that pull them in a direction different than what their bodies dictate is normal. excepts for Bi's that's just pure lust and greed! hahah

Question though, have you ever met a "lesbian" trans-sexual make??

2, the post to which I responded
3, the post to which I wrote in repsonse.

Well I went back and read your posts, which basically said more of the same. At least I can tell you don't hold some irrational hatred for my kind, which is cool. My point still stands.

Basically you have just not read anything, not understood it.

By the use of "us' I can assume you are of a transgender orientation?

Tell me, if you are a man transitioning to a woman, do you like men, or vice versa

I could take a jab at your own lack of understanding regarding transgender issues. Or the fact that you probably didn't read my previous post in which I explained at length my whole gender identity experience.

To sum it up, I'm bigender; I feel both male and female in a male body. I have no desire to undergo sexual reassignment. I'm still uncertain on hormones but I probably wont.

Bigender falls under the umbrella term, transgender, which also includes transsexuals, genderless, genderfluid...there's a lot of overlapping terms which all describe slightly different things.

And I'm not sure what my sexual orientation has to do with anything or if its even any of your business but I'll humor you anyway, I like guys and girls, but I prefer guys. For complicated reasons.

But the problem with your statements is that transgenderism is not an exclusively adult issue...there are a fair number of children who are confused about their gender from a very young age and don't understand why they feel this way.

I'm not saying we need to go into great detail explaining this to children...we don't need to explain the intricacies of hormones and sexual reassignment surgery. But I think it would be greatly beneficial to introduce topics like this to children early in their education.

We could start off by saying something like "boys and girls have different parts" which is a pretty simple concept to grasp; my little 4 year old half-sister knows about penises and vaginas because my step-mom has a 2 year old son and has to change his diaper while watching her. Then tell the kids that boys and girls usually like different things, but some boys like girl stuff and some girls like boy stuff, everybody's different; wow thats another simple concept that kids figure out in kindergarten. Okay take that a step further, some boys feel like girls and some girls feel like boys. And that's okay. And you can stop there because sexual orientation won't matter to those kids for many years, you can save that for sex ed class.

If letting kids be kids means leaving kids completely ignorant of gender identity so that when a girly boy comes along and gets the crap kicked out of him by bigger boys and called a sissy and made to hate his life, just because he's different...well, I think that is sick minded.

(added) I think we should be teaching children about non-binary gender...stop stuffing children into rigid little boxes, let them be themselves!
