Someone just messing around or should I be concerned? I personally have no reason to be concerned, just figured they would do a better job at covering up their name. There are some shady people in my neighborhood so it wouldn't surprise me.

Well I figure it's what you say. Somebody just screwing around.

Sometimes things are really just that simple

I saw this as well a long time ago well i always thought it was a someone playing a joke, and this is long before ats, back then it was just porn and school stuff. and i dont think that a fbi surveillance van would name themselves on wifi

It's just someone being silly.

Government agents using a hotspot would not broadcast the SSID.

Oddly enough, while on lunchbreak my good friend pulled out his phone to connect to our wifi and he had "DEAsurvvan" listed....don't really think much of it....but yeah....they're around....(tricksters that is....)

That's my overall opinion. Slow night so I figured I'd post something. One of my favorites I've seen was "No, no, get your own."

Is your apartment complex next to a Home Depot?

I believe I've seen "Virus", "Pretty fly for a wifi", and others in a particular place...

In that same place, Ive also seen a few SSIDs labeled "FBI Surveillance Van". Probably just a trendy name people are using. But you never know.

If that truly is an FBI operation, then SHAME on them for using WPA.

Same thing happened to an ex of mine. He said it said DEAsurv something ,and there was a van parked ifo his house for a few weeks, and it popped up only when the van was there.
I dared him to bring milk and cookies over ,and knock on the van door .

Hahahah I had a wifi connection the other week that read 'u1orgynow'.
Safe to say I used their wifi and tried to have a look at what was going on next door- I won't go into what I saw as I think it will violate t&c's.

Either way - it was weird. Weird as in paddles and what looked like ripped up bedsheets. Oh the joys of living in the penthouse ^_^

It's a test. If you think it's the FBI, they'll know you're too stupid to be a criminal.

just figured they would do a better job at covering up their name.

Gee, ya reckon?

It could be the fbi. Who really knows. The best place to hide is in plain sight.

I'm sure it's just coincidence but my internet connection keeps disconnecting and reconnecting ever so often. It does that sometimes, so no worries, just found it an odd coincidence.
