I thought the title involved the widespread plague of feral hogs (which is indeed a problem in many places; not mine, as any pig running loose would quickly be baconized)

Mostly as a rule, I don't reply to thread titles like this one but felt the urge to see just who in the heck would begin their membership here with such a headliner.

I can only suggest that you don't need to try and grab the membership by the tonsils just to get someone to read your stuff but... that's up to you. Experience is usually the best teacher.
