There was a plane crash earlier today in Chino, California. Not that kind of crash. NO one died and it didn't fall out of the sky. It hit a Hangar at a General Aviation section. However, what I find most interesting to share is a "teachable moment" as some call these little things. THIS is why I'd look out my window if the Government said the sky was blue. I'd have to check, just to be sure. They might be saying that because it just changed....or more likely, because they figured it sounded good and have NO earthly clue what they are talking about.

The wing of a jet struck a hangar was taxing at an airport in Chino Thursday evening, according to the FAA.

Details were scare, but a spokesman for the FAA said a Challenger jet collided with a hangar at the Encore Jet Center (map) in the 8300 block of Kimball Avenue.

Now I could have taken the photo from this...downsized it and posted it along with the article, but that would truly have ruined the impact of the story. You wouldn't have read the above without knowing the punch line in advance.

The FAA told media the jet's WING hit a hangar. Hmmm.... Here, take a look.

Now, tell me what YOU think of the FAA statement of facts vs. the reality. Perhaps Government spokesman should refrain from comment when they have absolutely no clue, in any way at all, what is happening on something. Ya think?

I'm just a broad and I can tell the difference between a wing and the whole friggin' nose of the plane!!!!

Geez, they think that we're that stupid, huh??
What morons we have in gov't.....

The only thing they had correct was a 'Challenger jet collided with a hangar'

Yep, it was just a little wing tip incident........what they didn't say was the plane is buried wings deep in the hangar.

I think the wings are the only forward part that didn't hit it.

Some people.... sheesh

IF there was ever a picture that could describe the current state of the union?

The ops picture fits to the letter.

Well, the wing DID hit the hangar. And the nose, and the fuselage...

They obviously need to do about $100,000 worth of investigation to be certain of what happened.

I mean we can't just look at the friggen thing and jump to the conclusion that the plane was full on buried into the hanger. And who says it's a hanger anyway. Any FAA employee should know that the building is a McDonald's Restaurant. Duh.

The pilot must have gotten a text message while taxiing. Texting and taxiing don't mix well.

So are you saying that the governments position on the crash is because the pilot was watching Youtube videos?

Star'd.. and if I had a operational Mustang I'd chock it about a hemishpere away
from Chino. The rubber and rims'd be gone overnight.:Wo

EDIT:: I can't let this go. I mean, there's no left seat time here in anything that
big, but I've probably got at least as much simulator time as Senator Glenn.
How do you directly impact a hangar that fast unless "She's REALLY hungry, Tom?"

Unless its deception........what really happened is someone mashed the throttle to FULL REVERSE instead of forward......damn those inferior backwards Chinese labels.

If i really had a P51 i would not be sitting on the ground.

And here I was half expecting it to not be a jet plane, but one powered by propeller.
But in the FAA's defense the wings are in contact with the building.

This is the same thing that happens when I tell a girl I met at the bar that "I swear I'm just going to put in the tip"...

So unfortunate...
