Yeah. I guess the prosecution didn't do a very good job.

Probably didn't bring their A game for a dead hooker. Its a shame.

It seems that way...but hiring an "escort" is not illegal. Now considering she had her pimp outside we all know what the game plan was.

A driver is not a pimp. They are there for her protection. People with the mentality of those in this thread are the reason the driver is needed. It's to prevent rape and assault. Money to an escort is NOT a promise of sex. Ever.

Man, it is pretty clear this girl was a ho.
I don't care if the guy in the car was her dad, she obviously wasn't intending to go out for a night on the town.

I think your misconceptions are drawn from too much TV. An agreement is an agreement and an escort isn't just code for "hooker". It's not her fault that he was an presumptuous idiot.

Escorts provide all sorts of services. Sometimes it's just stripping, sometimes it's taking a shower or bathing, sometimes it's for public image, and yes, sometimes it's for sex. But sex is never a given. Ever.

If I paid you to mow my lawn and you showed up with garden sheers, I wouldn't assume that you would trim my hedges. I also wouldn't shoot you for not doing it since it was never part of the agreement.

I guess it would be interesting to get ahold of the court notes then huh?
Apparently the defense did their job in showing services weren't rendered, whatever those may have been.

I still think it was very risky to build a case around the claim the dude paid for sex.

Also, I'm sure you're aware that a lot of "escorts" are little more than bonafide prostitutes with a legal name. Check back pages and you can see them all over, offering sex, calling themselves escorts. Maybe you were a part of a legit operation, but they aren't all legit.

One has to wonder if he gave her the money before finding out sex wasn't part of the deal. I'm assuming so, but this was kind of his bad if he didn't clarify it. As mentioned, there are some who just strip, shower, clean, etc. and she was up there for 20 minutes before she came down with the money.

Again though, somehow in court, he was able to show she didn't live up to the agreement, whatever it was, and so the money became stolen property.
