I live in Britain and the news here has just reported that the White house has confirmed the use of chemical weapons by the government in Syria. This crosses Obamas so called "Red line", so it looks like everybody who predicted a war this summer was probably right. Any thoughts anyone?
Don't know how to post a link, if anybody could show me that'd be great.

The USA, UK and French goverments have been itching to go in. Im betting CIA or MI6 did it so they can go in and have there "fun" or even more likely Mossad did it so the west can dispose of a Israli enemy.

Makes me glad I never joined the armed forces!

While what's going on in Syria is terrible the days of the U.S or the U.K thinking they have the moral highground in terms of international affairs is about ten years past being believable. They just back the side or dictator who will further the interests of international business.

I'd add at least 10 years, a lot longer when you get down to it.

Can't have a good summer without a little dust-up. You know... bill to pays...cogs of industry...baby needs a new pair of shoes.

This whole thing is built on death, what's the surprise?

The plan was most likely signed off by the CIA, the sarin made in UK and then deployed by mossad in the guise of Syrian loyalist.

No they have not! In fact all Western governments have been keen to keep out. They may provide aid, but there is no way the UK or anyone will put troops on the ground.

There will be no troops flying it. What's the point? Syria is now no longer part of the "Axis of Evil" as the Assad regime has failed. Syria's only being propped by support from Russia and Iran's proxy - Hezbollah.

Regards

Assads no fool and his Russian masters would never have ok it.

Tyrants does not instantly = stupid. Not all the time anyway.

Thing is the fact that its taken so long to prove means it wasnt used on a large scale.
So why would Assad use sarin on a small scale when they may as well use conventional weapons that wont cross the "Red line".

Useing Sarin on a scale to make a diffrance in the war means international inferance for sure. Hell gassing hudred of thousands would alienate any allies syria has!

No the UK/US and France have far more to gain on this.
