Dear ATSers,

I needed something inspiring and uplifting. I'm tired of hearing about people getting killed. I'm not a big fan of sports, but in my uninformed opinion, this is simply incredible.

Now, I grant you, that the goal tender was wildly out of position, but, WOW!

the keeper was not out of position any keep worth his weight would have done the same thing, when you play keep one must make the decision to come out or stay in, when its one on one, coming out of the box is necessary, especially in high levels of play such as this. great job by the keeper all around

Thats years of relentless drills right there.

Save, back on feet, save, back on feet, save back on feet.

The striker scuffed his shot though......

If I owned a soccer team I would spare no expense to get that guy on my team!

Dear DocHolidaze,

I bow to your superior wisdom. I agree, my use of the term "wildly" was wrong and AN over-exaggeration. I still think he overran his approach to the attacker by a bit. I nearly panicked when I saw his momentum resulted in an open net. I think I would have been about two steps less committed. But, I am certainly no one to have an intelligent opinion on the subject.

It's best if I just shut up and watch the play again.

P.s. If I didn't say it earlier, you're quite right. He had a better chance of forcing a bad kick by aggressively coming out. Twiddling his thumbs, waiting for the attacker, would have been highly questionable. - C -
