I bow to your superior wisdom. I agree, my use of the term "wildly" was wrong and AN over-exaggeration. I still think he overran his approach to the
attacker by a bit. I nearly panicked when I saw his momentum resulted in an open net. I think I would have been about two steps less committed.
But, I am certainly no one to have an intelligent opinion on the subject.
It's best if I just shut up and watch the play again.
P.s. If I didn't say it earlier, you're quite right. He had a better chance of forcing a bad kick by aggressively coming out. Twiddling his thumbs,
waiting for the attacker, would have been highly
questionable. - C -
