Welcome back after your spiritual "retreat" time.
Was this a "physical" sensation in any way? If so, where in your physical self did you feel this "pulling" from?
Couple thoughts come to mind. Perhaps you've been meditating or doing practices that have left you un-centered in your physical/etheric body? Perhaps some grounding exercises are in order, grounding to the Earth and into your physical self.
Other thought - perhaps you opened yourself up to other forces, that you may be under "attack" by negative energies?
I've just been reading some things by Chopra that point to the idea that your "soul" is not "in" your body looking out. The body is like a TV, and we are broadcasting through it. But we're not in it. I'm not explaining it well, but it was an interesting idea. So if that were the case, nothing could "pull" you "out" of anything as you aren't in it exactly.
Last thought - physical illness? Vertigo, inner ear, brain, blood sugar or pressure, lack of oxygen, sleep disturbance, medication interactions?
Perhaps asking your Self in meditation may help an answer to become apparent. Best to you.

I've been having similar experiences on and off for about two years now.
I've just finished about a year of doctor & hospital visits to try and figure out what it is. Multiple EEGs ruled out epilepsy and a psychologist says I'm fine mentally, so I'm at a loss for what it could be as is my GP & all the specialists I have seen.

I'm not exactly clear on your physical feeling, but I too experience strange things that are similar. I never would have described it as my soul being pulled.
Mine always is like someone shaking my shoulders telling me "no". Like I shouldn't do what I'm about to do. When I feel that, I never carry on the same routine/path/plan I was previous on in fear of something bad happening or messing up my good path.

Gas fumes can do funny things to the mind. Check your car for leaks.
