No facts that point to Murder 2. Heck ... no facts that even point to manslaughter.

This thread saddens me. The boy coulda, shoulda been doing all sorts of juvenile antics, but he was not. I don't care what he did the day before or the day before that. That day he was going from the store to his dad's home, exactly what he should have been doing. And if my son were confronted by an older man and was killed by him, I would want justice. But, my son is white. We are probably the only species ever that will destroy itself. Not because of food or land, just because of "feelings" called hate and greed.

8 years ago he was arrested outside a bar when he stood up for his buddy who was being hassled. Turned out they were under cover cops. Also .. the charges were DROPPED.

Martin didn't beat on a woman .. he beat on others. And he taped the fights.

'Snitches'??? Seriously? this isn't high school. Zimmerman was a 'NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH". That's when GROWN UPS in a neighborhood all get together and decide to look out for themselves and keep an eye out for criminal activities so they can notify the police. It's a smart thing to do.

I am older. Is this the way men end a fist fight nowadays? Carry a gun in case I can't win a fight. What happened to courage? Must be dying with the WW2 generation.

Civilized people don't fist fight at all. There seems to be zero physical evidence to show this was a fist fight. A onesided fist fight is usually called an attack, and an attack is usually called assault and battery. People carry and use guns to fend off attackers.

Zimmerman did not step on Martins civil rights when he followed him. Lead detective Serino stated that, before the fight, Zimmerman broke no laws.

Why is it okay for Zimmerman to shoot this kid out of protection, but it's not okay for the young man to protect himself?

If you are saying that Martin punched ZImmerman first, then Martin would be breaking the law. Whoever threw the first punch is the perp. Martin didn't have a right to punch Zimmerman simply because Zimmerman was observing him.

Because Martin was a weed smoking self professed thug/gansta who got into repeated fights. And Zimmerman is NOT a repeat offender. Not even a first time offender. That's why.

You have got to be kidding? So there should be two separate standards of behavior for people ... one set for black people and one set for everyone else? Really? :shk: That's absurd. EVERYONE has to follow civilized rule of law. And that rule of law states that no one has the right to 'jump' anyone else simply because that person is observing them. If I saw someone following/observing me ... I'd go to a safe place and call 911. I wouldn't attack them. That's insane and against the law.

Why isn't there more protection for the innocent and all the protection in the world for the guilty.

The message ... don't go starting fights with people because they might be able to protect themselves with a firearm. The message ... don't use social media to talk about how great a thug you are or how wonderful doing drugs is or how awesome an illegal street fighter you are ... all those are against the law. The message ... stay in school; don't do drugs; don't act like a mindless thug; don't post pictures of yourself playing with guns; don't act like a moron by flipping off the camera and posting the picture; .... the message .... grow up and obey the laws of society and you won't get into trouble.

That we can change gun laws when some madman shoots up a school full of white children, but look the other way when a madman shoots a black kid down in the streets,

Zimmerman isn't a 'mad man'. And he didn't shoot down a black kid in the street
If you had watched the trial you'd know that it is absolute fact that Zimmerman shot
Martin when Martin was on top of him, beating him and pounding the snot out of him.

Is it really a fist fight when one person doesn't even know that a fight is about to happen? No that is called assault and battery.

What is getting out of your vehicle and heading towards an unlit area where a suspected criminal just went, if not confrontational? If you aren't confronting the individual directly yet, you are only making it far more likely that a conflict could occur.

are you kidding, GZ just saw him come towards his truck to check him out and then go in a different direction,
thought that he was going towards the back entrance, before he got out of his truck.

GZ had no way of knowing that TM would double back and hide in the bushes, and wait to jump him at a time he choose and smash GZ nose with his fist.

I just heard the judge is going to allow a manslaughter charge.

Nothing like moving the goal post in the middle of the game. I knew this would happen. The jury will likely feel pressured to give him manslaughter for fear of retribution.
