To Putin , who is ex KGB and steeped in the spirit of this old behemoth, now known as FSB, Snowdens NSA infrastructure-knowledge is worth its "weight" in pure gold.

If he escaped HK, he is probably following a pre-set route of checkpoints this guy probably planned and made ready for init at least a year back.

If he turns up in Russia, Obama cannot do # without vast repercussions, but it could also be bad for Snowden from a public viewpoint, as he would be branded traitor by the common knuckledragging, popcorn munching, football crazy US citizen, whom still believes in United Bankster-States of Obamania.

My bet is he´ll still land in Reykjavik Iceland as rumoured by Guardian UK and also by Iceland VIP on the know.

Whoa you actually knew the KGB was defunct and that it was the FSB. Miraculous I say! I even wrote a thread about that specifically a few years ago just because of how commonplace calling them the KGB still is.

Their other arm, foreign intel, is the SVR now.

I also try to explain to people that the FSB/SVR are small compared to the larger yet more obscure GRU (ГРУ).
GRU wiki

The GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate) is essentially the largest intel agency on Earth. They are so sophisticated that almost no Americans have even heard of them. Think of how cunning they must be to have been here spying on us all this time and here in 2013 this still isn't common knowledge, but it's certainly a fact.

I guess the real question is, who spied on the US citizens more over the last few decades? The US Govt or the GRU? Probably the US Govt but we might be surprised the GRU is extensive.

Oh yeah and the MVD (Internal affairs).

I know of GRU. Super sophisticated military intel that among some things, in their decades of cold war experience, love to scare the pants out of the Swedish Air Defence and their FRA. (I am currently here on an assignement).

You don´t # with GRU because they ll get you anywhere in the world whenever they so wish.

A star for your knowledge and nice reply Muzzle.

Be assured that if Putin wants him, mr Snowden has an Antonov An 225 Mriya and two Mig 29 escort fighters waiting for him, provided he manages to make it to the Russia Consulate at Sun Hung Kai Centre, 30 Harbour Road, Room 2106 Hong Kong.

Alexey Pushkov, head of the Duma's international affairs committee and a vocal US critic, said on Twitter: "By promising asylum to Snowden, Moscow has taken upon itself the protection of those persecuted for political reasons. There will be hysterics in the US. They only recognise this right for themselves."

I do have to argue this China(MSS) has the largest intelligence agency/network in the world, that almost no people ever heard of them.

Both Russia and China want Snowden

Yeah nothing like running into the
arms of such a transparent upfront regime.

I wonder whether this mans' story will finally be
heard and understood by the masses?
www.google.com...
He says Putin blew up his own people and blamed it on
Chechnyan rebels.

Sounds familiar? Boy...its almost like those Chechnyan rebels have
friends at the Kremlin
